Is this too out there?

We currently have 4 daughter’s. We are expecting a fifth
Dh really w as nuts to name her [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. He feels it’s feminine , sassy, and southern. I’m not sure. Names I’ve suggested he doesn’t like are [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Delia[/name_f]. Our girls are [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. So does [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] fit? Is it too unusual? Other ideas? Thanks!

In my opinion [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] doesn’t really fit. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] are all more classic names. [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] feels newer and more modern as opposed to her sisters. Here’s some suggestions with the middle name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and:
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Gretel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lenora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Bella[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

Your girls names are beautiful and I hope you find a name you love. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this is helpful!

I agree. [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] doesn’t really fit. Although, you could always use [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] as a middle name, or even have 2 middles ([name_f]Saffron[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) if you were set on using [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

I love @musicwaves suggestions of [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f].

[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] is gorgeous and spunky, and I really like the combination!
Your other girls names are more classic though, so if you’re one for “sibsets” and “going together”, then you should probably keep looking.
Personally though, I think [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] is a winner name!

I adore [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] and like mummacat I think it is a winner name, and although a little different in style to your other girls’ names I still think it’s fine and fits with the modern vibe they all have - I mean that they are all current, on trend names, so I don’t think [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] feels odd with them.

I think a fifth daughter is going to need everything she can to stand out. I like the name it has pop and zest.

[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a brilliant name, and although not a classic like your other girls’ names, fits perfectly well, and would be a shame not to use.

[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] isn’t even a name to me but I’ll leave taste aside.

If you had only one daughter and the baby you’re expecting was your second, I’d say “use it”. But with four classic names, [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] definitely sounds odd.

I think [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is darling. I do think she is the odd name out in your sibset, but that can be a good thing, as others have mentioned. And I think if she wants to blend in more with her siblings, “Saffy” sounds perfect with her siblings and gets that southern vibe right out front! Go with your heart!

I think it’s fine. Personally, I like names to contrast and complement each other rather than having the exact same auras . . . [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] feels soft, feminine, and classy to me (not sure why it feels classy, but there you are!) so I think it fits in! I know a girl called [name_f]Saffron[/name_f], and she goes by Saffy. No one bats an eyelid at her name.

[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] isn’t a perfect match, but I love it and it does sound Southern to me (I’m from [name_f]Alabama[/name_f]). People try to have matching sibsets, but when you have more than 2 kids that are more than 2 years apart…this becomes difficult b/c hello, people and parents change with time! So I say use [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] if that’s what you both can agree on. It does flow fine with the other girls names. My fav boy name is [name_m]Lochlann[/name_m] and I plan to use if my baby is a boy, even though my last name starts with an L too.

This! So much this! That was my first thought. [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] is a slight outlier, but still congruent in some essential way with your other picks.

I sort of picture a funky, eccentric girl and woman. Maybe her older sisters say, “Oh, that’s just [name_f]Saffron[/name_f]!” but in an endearing way.

I would use this name if you think this will likely be your last child!

[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] does not fit in my opinion.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]

My first thought was [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

Other suggestions:

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

Thanks for all the comments. Dh feels very sure, but I’m not positive. Ahhh opinionated husbands lol. Although, if I’d had my way, Vivian would’ve been Felicity and while a lovely name, she’s definitely VIvian.
I like names that aren’t too overused or common but not unheard of either. Ahh it’s difficult. I’m considering Eliza Saffron, not sure how Dh will feel about it. But I am ok with her standing out a bit. Her oldest sister is almost 18 so they won’t always be travelling in a pack.

I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is absolutely GORGEOUS! Less common than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], has a spunk and a southern feel but still classic like the other girl names. [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] sounds so cute with it too! I think it’ll still give her some uniqueness while not having her completely stand out from her sisters. You could even do [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or even Saffy as a compromise for your husband. I just think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a bit overdone as a middle, but as a first I think it works perfectly with your other girls. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] gets my vote, though, as it just works so well on its own with no nickname (just like the rest of your names!)

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. I think it’s amazing!

I should have mentioned that all the girls middle names are after grandparents. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my mom’s middle name, and my great grandma’s name. However, [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] might be a close enough nod. As [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] was for my granddad, [name_m]Clemens[/name_m]. We don’t really do nicknames, except for the occasional [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] so Saffy wouldn’t happen. And I"d rather do [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] than nickname it.

I think that [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has an incredibly lovely, English garden type of feel, which I think goes with your other daughters names just fine
