Is this too precious?

I’m not pregnant or anything (thank goodness! I have an almost 6 month old son and that’s plenty for right now) but I’m still fantasizing about names for future babies. So I was thinking that if I ever had a daughter I would want to somehow name her after one of my grandmothers, who were named [name]Marguerite[/name] and [name]Lois[/name]. Then I thought if I had TWIN girls, I could name one after each…however, I don’t particularly love [name]Lois[/name], so I think I would use [name]Eloise[/name] instead (bc it’s just “[name]LOIS[/name]” with an “E” on either end.) Then I thought I could do [name]Margaret[/name] instead of [name]Marguerite[/name], but what nickname would I use? I like [name]Maggie[/name] but there’s already a [name]Maddie[/name] in the family and it’s too close. And I like [name]Daisy[/name], but our last name starts with D and I think double D names tend to sound kind of porn-ish. So then I thought of [name]Maisy[/name]. Which is adorable, right? So, I think, if I ever have twin girls, they’ll be called “[name]Eloise[/name]” and “[name]Maisy[/name].”

…and then I thought of the kids books!!! [name]Maisy[/name] the Mouse and [name]Eloise[/name] at the Plaza!!!

So…is that just way too cutesy and precious, or do you think it could be done?

[name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Maisie[/name] are lovely! I think they sound great together-- I wouldn’t even associate [name]Maisie[/name] with the mouse at first, and since they’re family names, it’s not like you picked them for the theme. [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are perfection!

I completely agree with irisrose … [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] are wonderful!

I almost named my daughter [name]Maisie[/name] … my grandmother’s name was [name]Margaret[/name]. So clearly we have similar tastes.

[name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] are lovely, what about [name]Greta[/name] as a nn for [name]Margaret[/name]?

I actually prefer [name]Marguerite[/name] to [name]Margaret[/name] and think it sounds better with [name]Eloise[/name] – perfect for sisters, twins or not!
