So my girls list is full of names like [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]… But for boys I am drawn to names like [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Miles[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u]… [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would be weird give my girls long, frilly names and my boys super short names? [name_f]Do[/name_f] these names go together, or do they seem mismatched? Am I overthinking things?
I don’t think it is unusual to have different styles for boys and girls.
I think you’re overthinking things. They wouldn’t seem weird to me.
Definitely not weird at all.
It is not weird at all. It’s not mandatory that siblings names have to match
My style is similar (I like [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] for a boy and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] for a girl). I don’t think it matters at all. Nobody in real life is going to think “it’s strange that her children’s names have different lengths”.
Not weird at all! I’ve met siblings with all sorts of different names - I don’t think it’s a big deal
I don’t think it’s weird at all! Personally, my style differs between boys and girls - my boys are shorter with almost-always unisex nicknames (think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] “[name_u]Asa[/name_u]”, [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] “[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]”, [name_m]Rufus[/name_m] “[name_u]Rue[/name_u]”, [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_u]Percy[/name_u]…) while my girls are longer and almost-always feminine, with the exception of the odd word/nature name ([name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] “[name_f]Lumi[/name_f]”, [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] “[name_f]Dora[/name_f]”, [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] “[name_f]Ena[/name_f]”, etc.).
