I decided I love this name today, and then put the name together with sisters [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Nora[/name], and I think it’s too close to [name]Nora[/name]. Any suggestions that might be similar or as pretty as [name]Vera[/name]? Other names I love:
[name]Eden[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Etta[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] (taken by friend)
[name]Evelyn[/name] (taken by friend)
[name]Loretta[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Everly[/name]
Evynne (might be too unique?)
[name]Luna[/name]
Since [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] are both 2 syl. and end in ra I personally think they’re too matchy. Have you considered verity? With [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] I like [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Etta[/name] from your list since they also have a vintage vibe.
I think [name]Verity[/name] is a good way to get [name]Vera[/name] as a nickname, however, I personally don’t find [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] too close to one another as the sounds are very different to me.
[name]Loretta[/name]! Oh please choose [name]Loretta[/name]! It sounds great with the rest of your sibset. Hubs and I have been teetering back and forth between [name]Susannah[/name] and [name]Loretta[/name] for a while.
I do think [name]Vera[/name] is too close to [name]Nora[/name]. With [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Nora[/name], I really like [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Eva[/name], and [name]Elodie[/name] (I just [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Elodie[/name]). [name]Eva[/name] gets the VERY slight edge because I like that it carries the “a” ending (a non-super-obvious theme that I really like). [name]Do[/name] you think it would be problematic to use it even though your friend did? Evynne does seem made up to me.
I think it is too close, plus it seems completely different in styles to [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Nora[/name]. I like [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] from your list.
I do think they’re a too close for sisters–especially with how different [name]Sophia[/name] is from them both.
I agree that [name]Verity[/name] would work well.
Or what about [name]Viola[/name]. Gives you the V and the same -a ending of the other two.
Or there’s also [name]Veda[/name]. same idea as [name]Viola[/name] but different feel.
Or Verily. Less common than [name]Verity[/name], but still pretty
Or given the other names you like, what about [name]Evanna[/name]?
[name]Vera[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] as sisters wouldn’t bother me, especially with a third sister named [name]Sophia[/name]. Most non-name nerds don’t take the time to analyze sibling names the way berries do…
