I can not drop [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] out of my mind. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] has special meaning for my family. The middle name would be [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] (I am a red head, so the middle name would honor me). I like the old, literary feel. Is [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] actually usable?
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is definitely usable. You’re going to meet some people who hate it, but that’s true about just about any name, especially one that is even a little bit unusual.
Personally, I love it, and I think [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] goes very well as a middle.
I think it is a very useable name. It does have an adventurous, book feel to it, and I think you will be meeting more people who like it than not. It’s a nice, boy-ish name too : )
I like it and think it’s usable. I think I prefer [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], but [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is fine too, and he can always go with his mn later if he prefers.
Thank you all.
I would love to meet a little [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].
Its not my favorite name but it is definitely usable. If children are named [name_u]Messiah[/name_u] and [name_m]Tucker[/name_m], why not [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]? I think the flow of [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is better, but both are nice.
I vote Yes to [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is definitely usable !! [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] has no difference from [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] & [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] .
I like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. I think it’s usable because I know a [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] who works in law enforcement. He’s [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] with sister [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] Bramble.
I think it sounds adventurous, fun, free, and literary.
Thank you all. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] just might be at the top of my list. I wasn’t even thinking about it being no different from names like [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. I personally would not use either one but plenty of people do. Dantea, love the siblings names. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] is such a strong, manly name. Dare I ask if he’s a hunk? lol I picture a gorgeous man.
lol He’s pretty good looking. Short (of course, law enforcement) brown hair, hazelish green eyes. He’s all strong cheekbones and of course he’s in shape from the police His sisters the artsy type, plump, soft, puffy curls.
Anyway, yea. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a great name if you want something adventurous and cool like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] but more unusual.
Oh I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]! Couldn’t get my husband on board, sadly, and our last name is also two syllables and ends in -er. It was my favorite. I would love to meet a little [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] too!
My friend who lives abroad said she’s got a playgroup with a [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], [name_m]Django[/name_m], [name_m]Huxley[/name_m], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_u]Avery[/name_u] (a girl), all from different parents, mainly expats, and says it’s an adorable set! I think it’s very usable and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] works very well together. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the tribute to yr red hair too!
Thank you everyone. The name is even growing more and more on my family.
This might be a dumb question but how do you pronounce [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]? Is it “[name_m]Will[/name_m]-der” or “While-der”?
[name_m]Even[/name_m] though I don’t know the correct pronunciation, I really like the way the name looks. [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] or [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]… I think I like both equally
Not a dumb question. I pronounce it while-der. Though I have heard people pronounce it will-der.
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is definitely usable, and I love the [name_f]Laura[/name_f] association.
Sadly not for me; it doesn’t work with my surname, but I wish it did! I really like it. Your combo is just perfect, romantic but simple and manly. It’s my favorite of the male names in your signature.
If you like nicknames, [name_m]Wil[/name_m] is a possibility, and he may use that someday if he goes through a phase of not loving his name. I think that can happen with any name, though; I doubt it’s more likely with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]-- it’s just nice this one has a pleasant built-in fallback.
