Is Yoan Jonny a good name

I’m thinking of choosing Yoan Jonny . What do you guys think any feedback is great .and i definitely wanna keep the Jo or ja something similar like maybe jonah and that works well in Spanish

No. It’s the same name twice.

as @/marysia said, [name_m]Yoan[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] both derive from the same name, but if that doesn’t bother you, i’m not sure too many people would notice! especially since they look very different, and if [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] is the middle name and won’t be used very often

[name_f][/name_f]

some other options… (i’m afraid i don’t know much about Spanish names, or [name_f]English[/name_f] names that work in Spanish, but i hope some of these spark some inspiration!)
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jacobo[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]Jeremías
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Joaquin[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]Jonás
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jonatan[/name_m] (close to [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] but not related to John)
[name_f][/name_f]Jordán
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jorge[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]José[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]Josué
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Juan[/name_m] (another form of [name_m]John[/name_m] though)
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Julián[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Julio[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

but i think you should ultimately go with what you like / what feels like you!

they do feel a bit same-y to me (though I guess you could say [name_m]Yoan[/name_m] comes from Yoḥanan[name_f][/name_f] and [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] comes from Yehonaṯan[name_f][/name_f] so they can have slightly different origins), but I also have known someone who has three different forms of [name_m]William[/name_m] as their name and a lot of people didn’t even notice :person_shrugging:[name_f][/name_f] so if [name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] works for you I guess it could work!)

[name_f][/name_f]

Maybe…

[name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Yoel[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jonas[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Joah[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jordan[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Joniel[/name_m] / Yoniel
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jason[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]Javo
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Javier[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]Josan

I think you should either go with [name_m]Yoan[/name_m] or [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] but I am not liking them together in the same name. I know [name_m]Yoan[/name_m] is a Catalan form of [name_m]John[/name_m] but it comes off as more feminine as it is too similar to [name_f]Joan[/name_f]. I don’t know where in the world you are though, if you are in an Hispanophone country then it wouldn’t matter. Maybe [name_m]Joaquin[/name_m] as an alternative? You can still call him [name_f]Jo[/name_f] for short.

i also think they sound a little too similar

Coming from an English-speaking country and POV, I wouldn’t choose this name, I would go:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Jonah[/name_m] (with a J sound)

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Jonas[/name_m] (with J sound)

[name_f][/name_f]

With either of these you can use the nickname [name_m]Jonny[/name_m].

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Or[/name_m]:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Johan[/name_m] (but with the Y sound so maybe Yohann)

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Javier[/name_m] (with H)

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Or[/name_m] [name_m]Johnny[/name_m] (this spelling looks more solid in [name_f]English[/name_f] as a name, with J sound) as a first name and also as an honour to Yoan.)

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Or[/name_m] keep [name_m]Yoan[/name_m] as a first name (though it’s not familiar to [name_f]English[/name_f] speakers and will need to be quickly introduced) and use a different middle:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Elias[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Yoan[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
