(I posted on the boy’s thread by accident!)
I have been wondering what would be a good way to pass on my surname to any future DC. I have a very difficult to pronounce and spell surname beginning with the letter Z. I know using it as a middle name could be an option but I’m not sure I’d want to burden a child with it.
I thought of the idea to use [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] as a middle name (I guess I wouldn’t pass on the actual surname but it’s still honouring it) or is using the actual surname a better option?

I don’t think it’s too connected to her. Gorgeous name!
I like the name [name_f]Zeta[/name_f], I think as long as your DDs 1st name wasn’t [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] then you’d be fine
I like [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] and as long as the DD first name isn’t [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] as others have said should be fine!
Using your actual surname is a great idea but [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] is sweet too
I don’t think so but the thing for me is on its own I pronounce [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] zeh-tah the minute you said [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] I’m like oh zee-tah
I do think of her, but I also think of [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_f]Zita[/name_f], so I don’t think the association is too strong at all, especially with a different name! I quite like it.
I think using your surname would be nicer and more meaningful, but [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] is a good option as a middle name too.
I like [name_f]Zeta[/name_f] a lot! [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] Z-J doesn’t get much publicity now, as far as I know, so I don’t think the connection is a strong one.
I do agree with this though (although of course it’s your choice and your preference).
