Isaac Indio or Isaac Indigo?

which do you like better? are both too I heavy or do you like the alliteration?

I like [name]Indio[/name] better than [name]Indigo[/name]

I’d go with [name]Indigo[/name]. I don’t like that “indio” is “indian” in Spanish. I think that’d be a weird choice.

In general, I prefer [name]Indio[/name] to [name]Indigo[/name], but I like [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] a lot. It’s a really cool combo, actually! [name]Eden[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] are adorable together.

I like [name]Indigo[/name]. I totall agree with [name]Lucia[/name], in that the meaning of “[name]Indio[/name]” is problematic and I’d be uncomfortable seeing it on a child. I’m not sure if it’s the same in the US, but in [name]Canada[/name] the term “[name]Indian[/name]” is considered fairly politically incorrect as it’s so reflective of a colonial mindset.

I prefer [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]. Have you considered [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Inigo[/name]?

I think [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] sounds better…but for me…it’s to I heavy. I’m not a fan of alliteration though.

I like [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name], [name]Indio[/name] sounds like its missing something…
I like the alliteration, as long as your last name doesnt end in I too!

I like [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] although I’ve never been crazy about [name]Isaac[/name] (double a’s throw me off.) The alliteration certainly isn’t too much unless your last name starts with an I. Also agree with [name]Lucia[/name] that [name]Indio[/name] could cause problems.

I like [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] the most, and I’m not bothered by the alliteration. [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Inigo[/name] would be a great option too!

I like [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indio[/name], [name]Indigo[/name] sounds more feminine to me but if it is for the middle name then go for it.

“[name]Indio[/name]” is considered a derogatory term in some Spanish-speaking countries. The polite term for a person of indigenous heritage is “indigeno”.

[name]Indigo[/name] as a reference to a color is fine, but there are a group of New Agers who use the term “[name]Indigo[/name] Child” to refer to a child with supernatural powers. Among classroom teachers, this term has come to refer to a kid who is badly behaved with parents in denial.

I prefer [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indio[/name] of the two.
I love Svea’s suggestion of [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Inigo[/name]!

I liked [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indio[/name] much better until I saw what others had to say about its meaning. I don’t care for [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] - I am not sure why, maybe because [name]Indigo[/name] is a color, maybe just because of how it sounds. I don’t mind the double “I” though - it isn’t even all that alliterative since the “I” sound in the two names is different. [name]How[/name] about [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Irving[/name]?

Thanks for the feedback. [name]Isaac[/name] is still up in the air. DH and I saw 3 people we knew (not close friends but acquaintances) named their baby boys [name]Isaac[/name] within the last 2 months and now we are unsure if it is getting even more popular or just a coincidence. We are also considering [name]Boone[/name] or some variation - [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Boone[/name], [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Elliot[/name], [name]Boone[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]…? So [name]Isaac[/name] is not ou just not sure it will be the one. I really like the suggestion of [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Inigo[/name]!

[name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]!

[name]Isaac[/name] [name]Inigo[/name]! [name]Isaac[/name]'s definitely gaining popularity, but [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Inigo[/name]'s such a handsome name that it wouldn’t put me off if it was a favourite. If you do go for [name]Boone[/name] instead, I like [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] and [name]Boone[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]. [name]Inigo[/name] [name]Boone[/name], [name]Inigo[/name] [name]Elliot[/name], and [name]Inigo[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] are pretty darn cool too (as long as your surname isn’t [name]Jones[/name] or Montoya…)

I prefer [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]

[name]Issac[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]

[name]Love[/name] [name]Isaac[/name], can do without [name]Indigo[/name] or [name]Indio[/name].
