Haha my brother is named [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
Well for [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] I see my brother he’s blonde haired blue eyed and quite tanned but was born with almost porcelain skin. And [name_u]James[/name_u] also reminds me of my brother and a nerdy 11 year old from my home town. There both lovely classic names and you couldn’t go wrong with either tbh.
I voted for [name_u]James[/name_u].
I quite like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], but am not a great fan of the nickname [name_m]Ike[/name_m] which would be fairly unavoidable.
All of the Jameses I know are nice, polite, friendly, funny and sporty guys, so that is the sort of person I think of upon hearing the name [name_u]James[/name_u].
Actually [name_m]Ike[/name_m] is easily avoided my brother has never gotten [name_m]Ike[/name_m] in his nine years of life.
This is hard. I voted for [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], but I love both names. [name_u]James[/name_u] is the perfect name for any boy or man. It defies any stereotype or image, although I like to think that a [name_u]James[/name_u] would be cuddly and cute as a little boy.
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] gives me the rugged pioneer vibe, but he’s not an unpleasant man by any means. I imagine him with blond hair and blue eyes. He’s jovial and laughs a lot, and even though he might be a little rough around the edges he has a heart of gold.
I voted for [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. I think its a pretty perfect name. The sound, the look, the meaning. I would use it myself if my surname didn’t start with a hard K. [name_u]James[/name_u] is also a timeless, fabulous time…I would do [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
I voted for [name_u]James[/name_u]. As southern.maple said, [name_u]James[/name_u] is the perfect name for every guy. It’s so royal-sounding, handsome and soft and also has a lot of nickname opportunities: [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_m]Jam[/name_m], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_m]Jim[/name_m]…
I prefer [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] to [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] sounds more down-to-earth and approachable than the more serious and aristocratic [name_u]James[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Ike[/name_m] is a pretty cool nickname option too.
It love [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. it means Laughter.
I choose [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] because I hear it less common then [name_u]James[/name_u] and I personally prefer the less common name. But I think [name_u]James[/name_u] would be an excellent middle name though. ‘[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]’ sounds really good to me.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] are great names. It totally depends what your other son’s name is, but I voted [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] since I have sooo many friends with sons named [name_u]James[/name_u].
It depends on the name of your other son(s) and daughter(s). But [name_u]James[/name_u] is my favorite name and the name of our first son. I’ve also never met an [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] that I thought was a particularly well-mannered child.
I love both, but much prefer [name_u]James[/name_u].
I really like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. I always picture a little boy that loves to smile and laugh. For [name_u]James[/name_u] I always think of the little boy in my class. [name_m]Brown[/name_m] curly hair big cheeks and lots of sass.
Thanks for such considered images. Has really helped me put a little face to the name
For [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], I would probably most likely use the nn’s [name_m]Zac[/name_m] or Ise (prn. eyes / eyezie) not so much [name_m]Ike[/name_m], although I don’t dislike that.
I like the fact that [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] does lend itself to many cute nn’s but [name_u]James[/name_u] I would rather use in full as [name_m]Jim[/name_m], [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] seem so outdated. My grandfather’s name was [name_u]James[/name_u] but he went by [name_m]Jock[/name_m], so I’m thinking Jockey could be a little boy nn, but I’m not entirely convinced. I do just love [name_u]James[/name_u] as it is, and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] as it is - neither need nn’s.
Brothers name is [name_m]Philip[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u]! Such a wonderful classic that is perfect for any age or occupation. [name_m]Issac[/name_m] is nice as well, but I love [name_u]James[/name_u]!
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] gets my vote! He’s so friendly and happy, so approachable and open and kind. I know an [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] who’s a great kid, and I love [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]'s recent popularity. It’s such a great name. It’s currently on my list as a middle ([name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]). I can see the appeal in [name_u]James[/name_u], but the only reason I can really get into it is the nn [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. It seems so Scottish and rough and manly, haha. I would love to meet a little [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], but I’ve always found [name_u]James[/name_u] so stuffy and boring and personality-less–I wish I could get into it, but I just can’t. It’s a fine name, though, and makes a lovely middle (which is probably why it’s so popular). [name_m]Both[/name_m] of them are nice, but [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] gets my vote.
[name_u]James[/name_u] is so handsome… [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] doesn’t compare for me!!
I chose [name_u]James[/name_u] because it is such a classic and strong name, and I rarely hear it. I know quite a few Isaacs. I love both so, either one is nice.
I am very surprised to see such berry love for [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] I have never seen it before on nameberry and I find it extraordinary to see that in the poll that [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] is beating [name_u]James[/name_u].
I don’t think that [name_u]James[/name_u] can be beaten to me it is the best name going for all generations. It is such a handsome name, quite outstanding and most people with a [name_u]James[/name_u] these days keep the full name for their son rather than 50 years ago when one was automatically nn’d [name_m]Jim[/name_m]/[name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] (which I like along with nn of [name_u]Jem[/name_u] too).
I am fond of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and the nn of [name_m]Zac[/name_m] is attractive.
