Isabeau Astrid?

Hello, berries! I’m relatively new here and still figuring out the forums, so please bear with me!

Well, I’m NOT expecting, first off… I just really like this combo! There’s something about [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name] that I don’t care for much at all, probably the popularity of them both, and the general sound. In my opinion, [name]Isabeau[/name] sounds much simpler then the frilly [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name]. [name]Astrid[/name] I’ve only recently fell in love with. My ancestry being Scandinavian and French, the origin combo seems just perfect to me! Not only that, but I love beautifully classic names.

So, does [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Astrid[/name] flow well?

What are your general opinions on it?

What do you think of [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Freya[/name]?

P.S - I will check in on this thread to reply to suggestions throughout the day… so I won’t leave you hanging.

Thank you.

I think I prefer [name]Astrid[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name] myself but the names are gorgeous and totally unexpected.

[name]Astrid[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name] does flow rather well.

[name]Isabeau[/name] is a guilty pleasure of mine, it’s so beautiful! I prefer [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Freya[/name]

I love how [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Astrid[/name] looks, very unexpected and fantasy feeling. However, I think the flow is a little questionable. I’m not a fan of [name]Freya[/name], to me, it just doesn’t sound as nice or as refreshing as [name]Astrid[/name].

I did a quick search on Scandinavian names and here’s some I think work with [name]Isabeau[/name]. For some reason, I find it easier to pair [name]Isabeau[/name] as a middle name:
[name]Vivica[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name]
[name]Vendela[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name]
Airica [name]Isabeau[/name]
[name]Greta[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name]
[name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Kallan[/name]
[name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Karielle[/name]
[name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Karalie[/name]
[name]Isabeau[/name] Linnae
[name]Nissa[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name]
[name]Thora[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name]

I think both [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Astrid[/name] and [name]Astrid[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name] are beautiful names. I love how they are common enough that people could pronounce them and know how to spell them but unique enough that people would be astounded at the gorgeous combo!

Thank you [name]Amy[/name]!

[name]Tay[/name]- [name]Greta[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name] is growing on me as well as [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Linnea[/name].

[name]Both[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Astrid[/name] and [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Freya[/name] are adorable!

Thanks [name]Ebony[/name].

I love [name]Isabeau[/name]. I prefer it with [name]Freya[/name], but there’s nothing wrong with [name]Astrid[/name].

I love isabeau! I prefer [name]Astrid[/name] [name]Isabeau[/name] as it flows better and of the two combos [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Freja[/name]! I love nn [name]Bo[/name]!

I think Isabeau Astrid is the safer, better option than Astrid Isabeau that people are suggesting. 1) Astrid is a bit “out there” 2) It starts with an unfortunate sound @$$ - which could lead to teasing 3) It just doesn’t seem to age well, I don’t think I could take a Dr. Astrid as seriously as a Dr. Isabeau.

Thus, Astrid is fine as a middle, but not a good choice for a first name. So I like your original choice: Isabeau Astrid.

BUT I do like Isabeau Freya more just because I’m not a huge fan of Astrid.

I like [name]Isabeau[/name] much more than [name]Astrid[/name]. [name]Isabeau[/name] is a rare, regal, medieval French form of [name]Isabelle[/name] that’s feminine and strong. [name]Astrid[/name] just doesn’t compare to that in my mind; I definitely prefer [name]Isabeau[/name] [name]Freya[/name].

Thank you all for the feedback! I do prefer [name]Isabeau[/name] as the first name, getting a lot of mixed reviews about [name]Astrid[/name] and [name]Freya[/name], but this helps out a lot.
