I prefer the look of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. I personally would use the Scottish form, [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], for personal reasons.
I chose [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] as I read [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] as Iso-bell and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is too frivolous/excessive.
I prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] does look incomplete to me (in comparison to [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]), whereas [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] doesn’t.
My favourite is [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. It looks the most classy and elegant to me. I don’t think [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is too young or frivolous though. I do pronounce [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] slightly different, closer to is-oh-bell than is-ah-bell/is-uh-bell for [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], and would only spell it that way if I was pronouncing it like that.
What about [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]? Classic yet fresher.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is one of my top choiced for a girl, so I cannot not vote for it. it’s absolutely beautiful and I love that the french variant seems more feminine and softer. I have a think for frilly names and double letters though, so maybe that plays a part in my choice too. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] can work in any age, imo.
