Isla (eye-la) or Daphne

Hello! I’m having difficulty deciding a name for my baby girl. My other childrens’ names are [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name]. What are your thoughts? I greatly appreciate it!

Our final two choices are:
[name]Isla[/name] (eye-la)
[name]Daphne[/name]
.

Thank you!!!

I love both choices! But with the other 2 names I’d go with [name]Daphne[/name]. [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] are just a bit too similarly rolled off the tongue imo

With [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name], I like [name]Daphne[/name] best.

[name]Daphne[/name] for sure. I’m really tired of [name]Isla[/name], to be honest. I think [name]Daphne[/name] is fantastic and I’ve liked it for a long time.
[name]Simon[/name] is one of my favourite names, by the way

[name]Daphne[/name] is the bold choice! Also the one that best fits the sibset and makes it timeless.

[name]Daphne[/name] for sure. I’m never quite sure how to pronounce [name]Isla[/name] (I always want to say is-la, when really it’s eye-la) and [name]Daphne[/name] seems much fresher. And it goes really well with the names of your other children. [name]Hope[/name] that helps!

Another vote for [name]Daphne[/name] here! It’s so beautiful, and so sorely underused in comparison to [name]Isla[/name]. While the latter is a lovely choice too, there are so many Islas - though not so many to be totally sure that everyone your daughter meets will say eye-lah, as opposed to iz-lah. [name]Daphne[/name] is much more straight-forward, pronunciation-wise, while still being intriguing, and I think it goes wonderfully with [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Simon[/name].

I’d go with [name]Daphne[/name]. Actually I love both of them equally but [name]Daphne[/name] matcch your other children’s names better.

[name]Both[/name] are nice, but I think [name]Daphne[/name] is fantastic with [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name]!

I love [name]Daphne[/name]! And it goes really well with [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name]. And if you wanted a nickname there is the options of Phi and Phia, but I also know someone named [name]Daphne[/name] who goes by the nickname Fluff which is nice as well.

I would pick [name]Daphne[/name], only because [name]Isla[/name] sounds a bit too similar to [name]Olivia[/name]. Not really crazy about the name [name]Daphne[/name] though as it always reminds me of the character from Scooby Doo!

I like both, but even before I saw your children’s names, I was leaning toward [name]Daphne[/name], which I just love. I think [name]Daphne[/name] perfectly meshes [name]Simon[/name]'s and [name]Olivia[/name]'s styles, too. [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name] mesh so well for sisters, imo, while [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Isla[/name] is a bit tongue-twistery (however lovely it may be!).

Maybe [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Isla[/name]? Or save [name]Isla[/name] for a third daughter?

Good luck!

I love both names, but [name]Daphne[/name] is definitely on my list <3 Also, as someone said, Simon & Olivia & Daphne all go beautifully together

[name]Isla[/name] it has all the pizzazz and style of [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] and wins hands down in comparison to [name]Daphne[/name]!

Isla and Olivia do have a similar sound so that would be a factor in deciding but I would not go with Daphne but rather with a stunning and always gorgeous name like Juliet.

rollo

I like [name]Daphne[/name] better with [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] - each name has its own unique sound/ending. I think [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name]'s endings are too similar.
