Isolde?

I promise no more posts from me!! I just have one last questions NBers!!

What do you think of the name [name]Isolde[/name]? Also spelled [name]Iseult[/name]. Pronounced “Eee-zoult” or “Eee-zould”. (I’ve heard/seen both in history/literature). Correct me if I’m wrong, but opinions please! Thanks so much!

I have always known it pronounced “Eee-zould” in the tale of [name]Tristan[/name] (my son’s name) and isolde. In in other spelling, the “T” is silent.

I like it! It isn’t the type of name that I am usually attracted to, but it has really been growing on me and now I think it’s beautiful.
I like it spelled both ways, ‘[name]Iseult[/name]’ is the older, more traditional version, but ‘[name]Isolde[/name]’ has a more familiar feeling because of the story of “[name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Isolde[/name]”. I don’t know which I like better.
It is an unusual name that’s not too far ‘out there’ with an intriguing history.
