My DD’s name is Isolina (eesohleena) We call her [name]Lina[/name]. (leena) I love her name as it was my husband;s great aunts name. The rough part is both sides of our family hate it, my mom wont even try to pronounce it as calls DD [name]Izzy[/name]. Now we are ttc again and I have been so abused by people that I am scared of naming new LO at the same time I want to have a matching sibset. I can’t very well have Isolina and [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Jane[/name]. But [name]Lina[/name] is such a sweet nn that I can have another lofty name with a sweet nn. My husband is Cuban but we like all nationality of names.
Always remember that YOU love the name Isolina. Your families have the right to their opinions but why would they be so harsh AFTER she is named is beyond my comprehension. Something more exotic would be best with such a unique name.
