[name]Ilse[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]. Very precious and timeless.
I know the two e’s at the end can turn some people off but I think it has a nicer flow than the a’s.
[name]Ilsa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]!
I love [name]Issa[/name] more than [name]Ilsa[/name] (have a had time pronuncing it), but I think [name]Ilsa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sounds more complete.
I like [name]Issa[/name], it sounds more young and fresh. All of your choices are beautiful with [name]Josephine[/name] though.
I like [name]Issa[/name].
[name]Ilse[/name] and [name]Ilsa[/name] makes me think of [name]Ilse[/name] Koch, the Nazi.
[name]Via[/name] wikipedia:
She was known as “The Witch of Buchenwald” (“Die Hexe von Buchenwald”) by the inmates because of her alleged cruelty and lasciviousness toward prisoners. She is also called in English “The Beast of Buchenwald”[2], “The Bitch of Buchenwald”[3], “[name]Queen[/name] of Buchenwald”[4][5][6], “[name]Red[/name] Witch of Buchenwald”[7][8][9], and the “[name]Butcher[/name] Widow”.[10]
She was real, there was also a very bad '70s movie about Nazis that used her name for a fake villianess, the movie was titled “[name]Ilsa[/name], She-[name]Wolf[/name] of the SS.”
[name]Issa[/name] or [name]Inessa[/name] or [name]Iris[/name]/[name]Irissa[/name] just sound much less fraught to me.
I like [name]Ilsa[/name] quite a bit! [name]How[/name] do you say [name]Issa[/name]? If it’s EE-sah, like [name]Isa[/name], I love it, but I feel like it needs a fuller name, like [name]Isabel/name or [name]Louisa[/name]. If it’s ISS-ah, I’m not a fan, sorry. Either way, I prefer the [name]Isa[/name] spelling. I do like [name]Ilsa[/name], but I like [name]Elsa[/name] a lot more. I think [name]Elsa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] would be stunning!
Good luck!
I like [name]Ilse[/name] best, possibly because it was the name of the most captivating character in [name]Emily[/name] of New [name]Moon[/name]. It’s feminine and elegant all at the same time. All three go beautifully with [name]Josephine[/name].
[name]Ilse[/name] or [name]Issa[/name]. I’m not a fan of [name]Ilsa[/name].
I’m with a pp who suggests [name]Elsa[/name] instead of any of them. [name]Issa[/name] feels incomplete, and [name]Ilsa[/name] and [name]Ilse[/name] start with Ill / are clunky. I think [name]Ilsa[/name] is the best of the 3 - I get there’s a horrible association but I don’t think it’s well known like [name]Adolph[/name] or something? [name]Ilse[/name] just seems like it will be confusing.
If not [name]Elsa[/name], what about [name]Ailsa[/name]? And for [name]Issa[/name], there is the little-known Biblical Iscah (which is supposedly the name that inspired [name]Shakespeare[/name] to create [name]Jessica[/name]).
I don’t necessary love Iscah, but it feels more complete and has more history than [name]Issa[/name], unless there’s something I’m missing…
[name]Elsa[/name] or [name]Isa[/name].
I like [name]Ilse[/name], then [name]Ilsa[/name]. Not a fan of [name]Issa[/name], which kind of looks like a typo to me.
