Issues re-ordering names in our lists?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Nameberry gurus,

I am having issues re-ordering my names in my list. When I am editing my list, I can seemingly re-order the names. But after saving with the preferred order, the changes revert to alphabetical order. Anyone else have this issue?

Is this intentional? Am I missing an option to “allow” my custom ordering?

Yes, unfortunately, this is how the system works. Lists are always alphabetical once saved.

@katinka Is it impossible to remove the internal reordering functionality, then? [name_m]Just[/name_m] seems out of place…

I don’t believe so, unfortunately. User lists are formatted automatically according to the same system which sorts the main lists into alphabetical order, no matter how they were inputted. Removing the reordering, if it were even possible, would mean that the standard themed lists, alphabetical lists, lists by origin, etc. would all appear in a random order.
