It WILL be a BOY!!

I’m happy to announce that my daughters [name]Octavia[/name] [name]Helen[/name] “[name]Tavi[/name]” and [name]Acacia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] “[name]Kay[/name]” will have a little brother sometime in the summer

Other than buying blue baby supplies, the most important thing to me right now is WHAT [name]WILL[/name] HIS NAME BE??
I’ve posted other threads about possible names but now I actually know the gender =) Anyway I have a problem of falling in love with names so that’s why I’m reaching out to you. I also want to give my son a name he’ll actually like (because I HATED my name growing up and still do now to some extent)
Qualifications for first name:

  • Unusual BUT pretty
  • Has a nickname (I NEVER had a nn growing up but my siblings did and it was annoying)
  • a [name]Greco[/name]-roman connection is preferred but NOT necessary (I have [name]Greco[/name]-Italian roots and my dh likes to study ancient Greece an [name]Roman[/name] culture in his free time)
    Qualifications for middle names
  • Flows nice with fn
  • My dh and I have families which discourage naming your kid after family members to prevent conflict so pretty much anything goes. I like to give my kids mn’s which are my favorite names that I would’ve used as fn if they weren’t so popular

Here’s our list (with some names added thanks to nameberry suggestions)
[name]Matteo[/name] “[name]Matt[/name]”
[name]Caspian[/name] “[name]Cas[/name]” or “[name]Ian[/name]”
[name]Stellan[/name] (nn?)
[name]Hadrian[/name] “[name]Ian[/name]”
[name]Justus[/name] “[name]Just[/name]”
[name]Justinian[/name] “[name]Ian[/name]”
Trajan “[name]Trey[/name]” or “T.J.”
Pertinax “Nax”
[name]August[/name] “[name]Gus[/name]”
[name]Breccan[/name] “[name]Bec[/name]”
[name]Cassius[/name] “[name]Cas[/name]”
[name]Cassian[/name] “[name]Cas[/name]” or “[name]Ian[/name]”
[name]Flavian[/name] “[name]Ian[/name]”
[name]Cornelius[/name] “[name]Nel[/name]”
[name]Julius[/name] “[name]Lee[/name]”
[name]Lysander[/name] “Lye”
[name]Marcellus[/name] “[name]Mars[/name]”
[name]Audrick[/name] “[name]Rick[/name]”
[name]Tertius[/name] (This will be my third after all) “T.T”

Middle names:
[name]Michael[/name] (Guilty pleasure)
[name]Caesar[/name]
[name]Atticus[/name]
[name]Charles[/name]

ALSO PLEASE [name]FEEL[/name] [name]FREE[/name] TO SUGGEST NAMES/COMBOS

*Notes: This will probably be our last child
We live in the U.S. but we have lived in Europe before due to my husbands job so there is a possibility of being moved back there. I care more about how the name will do in the U.S. but I feel like I should mention this Europe possibility

I love [name]Caspian[/name], [name]August[/name], [name]Breccan[/name], and [name]Julius[/name], but I think [name]Breccan[/name] is my favorite! I love the full name and the nn [name]Bec[/name]/[name]Beck[/name] just makes me smile. I love it. I think [name]Breccan[/name] [name]Charles[/name] or [name]Breccan[/name] [name]Atticus[/name] would be so handsome with big sisters [name]Octavia[/name] [name]Helen[/name] and [name]Acacia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name].

Good luck!

This is a fun list. [name]Octavia[/name] [name]Helen[/name], [name]Acacia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], and brother…

[name]Caspian[/name] [name]Michael[/name]
[name]Hadrian[/name] [name]Charles[/name]
[name]Justus[/name] [name]Michael[/name]
[name]Justinian[/name] [name]Charles[/name]
[name]Cassius[/name] [name]Michael[/name]
[name]Cornelius[/name] [name]Michael[/name]
[name]Julius[/name] [name]Michael[/name]
[name]Marcellus[/name] [name]Charles[/name]

I would stick with [name]Michael[/name] or [name]Charles[/name] as the MN because they go with the classic, timeless feel of [name]Helen[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name]. I want to like [name]Tertius[/name] for you, but since you have an [name]Octavia[/name] who isn’t your eighth child I think it might be a little weird.

St. [name]Breccan[/name] was an early 6th century Irish saint who was baptised by St. [name]Patrick[/name]. He was the son of the [name]Prince[/name] of Thomond (in Limerick) and grandson of the first [name]Christian[/name] ruler of that territory. The townland of Ardbraccan (in County Meath, [name]Ireland[/name]) attributes it’s name to St. [name]Breccan[/name]. He wrote some prophecies about [name]Ireland[/name]'s wars and the coming of the Anglo-Normans to [name]Ireland[/name]. When he heard that the Oirghialla (an ancient and degenerate tribe) lived around Ardbraccan he swore that he would convert them to Christianity. He was successful in this. He finally went to the [name]Aran[/name] Islands off the coast of [name]Galway[/name] and and founded [name]Temple[/name] [name]Breccan[/name] on Inis Mhor - the largest of the [name]Aran[/name] Islands and is buried there. [name]Breccan[/name] is an Irish boys name and is pronounced [name]Breck[/name]-[name]Ann[/name]. [name]Hope[/name] this helps.

From your list, I love [name]Matteo[/name], [name]Caspian[/name], and [name]Hadrian[/name].
