We are considering using [name]Filide[/name] as a middle name for our unborn daughter, in honor of my husband’s grandmother [name]Phyllis[/name] (we just can’t bring ourselves around to [name]Phyllis[/name] as much as we try). As [name]Filide[/name] is the Italian version of [name]Phyllis[/name] and his family has a lot of Italian heritage, we think we want to use it. But we aren’t sure of the pronunciation.
