It's a girl!

We have officially found out that we are having a girl! Yikes. I was really expecting a boy. We are thrilled though.

We are planning on announcing this news on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] [name_f]Eve[/name_f], which gives us two days to decide on a name. Yikes again.

Luckily, we’ve narrowed it down significantly.

[name_f]India[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], or [name_f]Aria[/name_f]

Middle names are still up in the air. We aren’t concerned about being 100% on that by Thursday, but we would like suggestions.

[name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u], and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] are some combos we like.

Thoughts? Which is your favorite and why? [name_m]How[/name_m] do they sound with [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] & Esmè?

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is stunning…absolutely love it! [name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is lovely too and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]India[/name_f] really work as a sibset.
I personally don’t like the name [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] so that would be my least favourite, no particular reason, there are a few in my neighbourhood and I just don’t see the appeal.

[name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is fantastic! I think [name_f]India[/name_f] clearly goes best with [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] and Esmè and personally think it has such a beautiful sound - I’m quite fond of [name_f]Indi[/name_f] as a nn too

I second [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]… lovely, and it works so well with your other names!

I don’t like using country names and first names. Especially [name_f]India[/name_f]. It feels a little… inappropriate? The connection just isn’t there, unless you have significant ties to the country.

I like [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] as a middle name.

So my vote would be towards [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f].

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is breathtaking and it fits in so well with [name_m]Stellen[/name_m] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f].

I like the name [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] best, but I think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] works best with your sibset

Congratulations! I think all three combos are beyond stunning, but my favourite with [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is [name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. It has that gorgeous quirky-vintage feel that your other children’s names have and sounds beautiful.

This is an opinion I’ve never heard before, but I do appreciate it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that about just countries ([name_m]Israel[/name_m], [name_u]America[/name_u], [name_m]Britain[/name_m], etc.) or all geographical names? ([name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_u]Paris[/name_u], [name_m]Austin[/name_m], etc.) I wouldn’t want to use a name that would offend, but I’m having trouble finding why it’s inappropriate.

Not offensive in my opinion. Place names are very common, just like the ones you mentioned. [name_m]Isreal[/name_m] is highly popular in my area and I have personally never heard anyone say they find [name_m]Isreal[/name_m] or any other place name offensive.

That being said [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is my favorite from your combos. I think it is so pretty!

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is wonderful. [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m], Esmé [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] together makes me swoon!

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] for sure!

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]!! Beautiful.

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] for sure. It’s stunning and fits in perfectly with your other kid’s names. Congrats!

[name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]!

I love your other children’s names! Stunning!
With that being said I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].

My vote is definitely for [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], which matches the beautiful names of your already-born children. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] feels way too trendy. Would you consider [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] as a first name? It is really lovely!

(As an aside, [name_f]India[/name_f] became popular as a name amongst 19th century English imperialists; hence why some people find that particular name a bit colonial and inappropriate.)

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is indeed lovely. [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. Hmm…
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] calls to me with your kids’ names. [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]… gorgeous!!
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is my favorite.

I like your [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] combos!

Weighing in on the [name_f]India[/name_f] thing. I’m not sure why but I also find the name inappropriate and I wish I had a better reason for why I have that reaction (when for example the name [name_u]Montana[/name_u] (another place name example) doesn’t elicit the same reaction). I think it’s because it’s a country name not a city or a state. I know [name_f]India[/name_f] is used a lot in the UK. I’m [name_f]Canada[/name_f] you never hear it and I don’t think it would go over well with people and could offend people or at least give them a negative feeling.

Of the three potential combos, I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] the least w/[name_m]Stellan[/name_m] & Esmé, because both [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] & Esmé have a Z sound in them while [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] doesn’t. I love [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] & think it sounds great w/[name_m]Stellan[/name_m] & Esmé; [name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] gets my vote by a whisker because it’s more unique than [name_f]Aria[/name_f] & seems to fit w/[name_m]Stellan[/name_m] & Esmé stylistically a bit better. Good luck!
