Hello Berries,
My DH and I find it difficult to agree on names but it being our 3rd time looking for a girls name we pretty much have a small pool of names he has not vetoed. I don’t like discussing my names with family/ friends so you guys are my only sounding board! I recently discovered that DH liked nicknamey names and not formal names. My list has changed slightly:
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]: this is the name we have liked the longest 4+ years. We don’t like nickname options and its significantly longer than our other children’s names.
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]: this name is a more recent favorite when I first found out I was preg I told DH it was THE name and he agreed but now says he is falling out of love with it.
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f]: A name that I have always liked. DH smiles every time I mention it. Initially I vetoed it as my eldest daughter took ballet classes with a girl by this name but we have moved. Is it name stealing?
Sefora: I love zipporah (DH vetoed) and [name_f]Sephora[/name_f] (too tied to make up). When I found Sefora I was in love. Also like nn Seffy.
My daughters are [name_f]Lila[/name_f] ([name_f]Leelah[/name_f]) 6 yrs and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] 2 years.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is best, I think, It’s perfect with your sibset and it’s got a history. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] seems to have been a temporary trend, [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] is nicknamey, and Sefora looks strange to my eyes.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], and…
Emberley or [name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_f]Emmie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]

[name_f]Bree[/name_f] or [name_f]Ivana[/name_f]

[name_u]Hollis[/name_u], [name_f]Asha[/name_f], Zandria, or [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]
If you like the nickname Seffy, have you considered [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]? There are a whole host of nicknames you could use for that–[name_u]Percy[/name_u], Seffy, [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]…
Out of your list, I think I like [name_f]Verity[/name_f] best with your other kids’ names.
I really like Sefora and [name_f]Verity[/name_f] with your girls! [name_f]Verity[/name_f] Sefora, maybe? Or Sefora [name_f]Verity[/name_f]? I think either would be adorable! I’m a huge fan of [name_f]Verity[/name_f], though–I heard it at the craft shop the other week, and I was beyond giddy, haha! It’s one of those names you never hear, but it’s such a gem!
Sefora, however it’s spelled, it’s the pronunciation that will be linked to makeup. I wouldn’t do it.
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. It sounds like a pet name to me, not a given name and I’ve never liked [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I kind of like [name_f]Verity[/name_f].
I like the suggestions of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Kenna[/name_f], and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] for you.
[name_u]True[/name_u] but [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] has more letters which could be an issue since our kids have 2 middle names Plus a hyphenated last name.
