Iva Daphne Renee

This combo just feels more “right” than other combos I’ve considered, but from what I’ve seen online there two pronunciations for [name_f]Iva[/name_f] (EYE-va vs. EE-va) and some people online I’ve seen critique that it sounds like a contraction of “I have a” with the EYE-va pronunciation I want, which idk if that’s actually problematic or not. I do think we’d use [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] as nickname, but I much prefer [name_f]Iva[/name_f] to [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] generally and I think [name_f]Iva[/name_f] is better than [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] S. as I know if I used [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] she would not be the only one, likely ever, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is very popular locally (we love our nature names around here)

[name_f]Iva[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is sharp, sleek and distinctive!

Eye-vuh would be my automatic pronunciation where I am, and I wouldn’t really think of I have a or I’ve a - unless your surname was one that sounds like it could fit into that sentence (so [name_f]Iva[/name_f] [name_m]Robinson[/name_m] or [name_f]Iva[/name_f] [name_f]Kelly[/name_f] would be fine, but [name_f]Iva[/name_f] Beer or [name_f]Iva[/name_f] [name_m]Penn[/name_m] might get heard as that)

I’d say mention it to a few people around you maybe? See which pn they use?

I default to the eye pronunciation and I didn’t think of “I’ve a” at all (in my area I feel like people say “I’ve got a” way more than “I’ve a” but that’s definitely regional) so I think you should be fine on that front unless your last name is a noun. I really like it and the combo sound fantastic together.

Yeah I’ve personally never noticed people saying “I’ve a” I personally wouldn’t, it sounds like bad grammar to me, but IDK it seems to be a lot of people’s top concern with it. Our last name isn’t a noun but I do think together it vaguely sounds like “I’ve a somethin” but like not coming from a sober person XD so IDK if it’d cross anyone else’s mind or even be teasible if it does.

I’ve never thought that [name_f]Iva[/name_f] sounds like “I’ve a” with the eye-vuh pronounciation, which is the pronounciation I use.

[name_f]Iva[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is lovely.

[name_f]Iva[/name_f] with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] as a nickname is lovely. I would pronounce it eye-vuh in the US, ee-vuh is the European pronunciation.

I would pronounce it eye-vah, and I actually didn’t think of “I’ve a” until you mentioned it. Unless your last name is a word/noun, I think it’s fine.

note: I’m from the US
