Is there any names youve met a lot of people with? Or any that youve only met a few of, but it seemed like such an unique name it surprised you?
Mine:
[name_m]Ive[/name_m] met so many people named;
[name_f]Megan[/name_f]
[name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_u]Aiden[/name_u]
Joshua
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] (all go by [name_m]Jake[/name_m] but 1)
[name_u]Tyler[/name_u]
[name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_f]Nicole[/name_f]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Ive[/name_m] also met a couple people [name_f]Chantel[/name_f], which surprises me. And oddly enough I cant think of meeting a single [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]. It must be a small town thing.
Growing up there were a lot of people my age named:
[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessica[/name_f]
[name_u]Ashley[/name_u]
[name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]
[name_m]Luis[/name_m]
[name_m]Jose[/name_m]/[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
Now, I meet a lot of kids named:
[name_u]Jayden[/name_u]/[name_u]Aidan[/name_u]
[name_u]Alex[/name_u]
[name_m]Bryan[/name_m]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_u]Genesis[/name_u]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]
There are also two girls named [name_f]Amerie[/name_f] in the 2nd grade at my school and 2 girls named [name_f]Serenity[/name_f].
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] -plus one college roommate named [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], but everyone else use the z spelling.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_u]Angel[/name_u] - combination of [name_f]Angela[/name_f], [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelica[/name_f], but most of them want to be called [name_u]Angel[/name_u], so… can I count this?
[name_f]Bella[/name_f] - either as a stand alone or as a nickname.
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] - same as above
[name_f]Maria[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f]
[name_f]Michelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessica[/name_f]
I’ve also met a couple guys name [name_m]Remington[/name_m], which might not be strange somewhere else, but where I live its pretty unique. And I’ve met a couple girls named [name_f]Yamilex[/name_f]
[name_f]Megan[/name_f]
ashley
kelsey (male and female)
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]
michelle
[name_f]Karen[/name_f]
[name_f]Nicole[/name_f]
I also know three Athenas, several Cassandras and I feel like every other newborn boy I hear of is named [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m] or just [name_m]Jax[/name_m].
Also know lots of women with the middle name [name_u]Ray[/name_u]/[name_u]Rae[/name_u].
I know a lot of people named [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_u]Stacey[/name_u], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]/Sharlotte, [name_f]Christina[/name_f].
There are also a lot of Ang’s at my current work, [name_f]Angelique[/name_f], [name_f]Angela[/name_f], [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] and an [name_u]Angel[/name_u].
I’ve never met an [name_u]Abbey[/name_u]/[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
My age the most popular names were [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]/[name_u]Abby[/name_u]/[name_f]Abbi[/name_f], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]/[name_f]Becky[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for girls and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]/[name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]/[name_m]Tom[/name_m] for boys.
Most of these seem so boring to me I cant see why anyone would use them on a newborn now. Especially [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], which I find far too overused.
I find it really strange but also quite fun that now its all [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Lacey[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_u]Jayden[/name_u], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_u]Mason[/name_u], etc.
I don’t get tired of boys names as easily. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is getting on my nerves. The majority of the girls lists makes me want to claw my eyes out, I see them so much.
These are people I’ve met through school, work, etc. I don’t spend much time around children, so if I did I’m sure I’d have more names to add. For example, I’ve only met one [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], and that was ten years ago. Up until I joined this site, I had no idea the name got so popular.
For girls, it’s [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] (and two [name_f]Ashlee[/name_f]'s), [name_f]Katie[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]/[name_f]Bella[/name_f], [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] (different spellings), and [name_f]Mary[/name_f].
For boys, it’s [name_u]Aiden[/name_u] (never met an [name_u]Aidan[/name_u]), [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], and [name_m]William[/name_m]/[name_m]Liam[/name_m].
