I had a former teacher name Ridgley and I’ve come to like it. Thoughts + Middle name suggestions?
Ridgely feels quite fresh and cool
It means, lives at the meadow’s ridge.
I rather like it, it’s a new one for me. I appreciate that it’s a cool replacement for [name_u]Ridley[/name_u], it gets rid of the “rid” association for me, and feels more nature name (ridge). Great name!
Ridgley [name_u]Rue[/name_u]
Ridgley [name_u]Kit[/name_u]
Ridgley [name_u]Rowe[/name_u]
Ridgley [name_u]James[/name_u]
Ridgley [name_m]Von[/name_m]
Hm, I did assume it was an adverb at first, probably because of the -ely ending. I’d prefer a different spelling of the name, like Ridgley. That said, while it’s not my personal style I think it has a cool sound! Like another poster mentioned, it reminds me of Ridley (which I slightly prefer). I’d also like just Ridge as a cool nature name!
I’d pick a familiar or more traditional middle since Ridgely is so unique and unexpected.
