Ivvivi

I’ve been thinking… I never really asked anyone if [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], formerly just [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], are too close for siblings. I don’t think I even asked SO when I took it off the list. SO thinks they’d be fine and I’m starting to think so, too. None of the 'I’s in the names make the same sound.

What do you think? Too much of the same letters, or different enough to work out? Middle name will either be kept as Verdandi (it’s been Verdandi for years) or changed to Sycamore.

From a first name standpoint, I think [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are fine. They share some mutual letters, and have a resonant sound with each other, but they aren’t matchy, imo. I think it’d be just fine.

[name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are pretty similar, basically anagrams by sound (… not sure how much sense that makes haha, and also not, because the I in [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] is not like those in [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]), but I doubt anyone would call you out on it.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]? I had this suggested to me one with the nn [name_f]Viv[/name_f] and it really resonated (my grandmother’s name was [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and she went by [name_f]Viv[/name_f] most of the time). [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] have many different sounds from each other, but [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] is still an option.

Thank you both.

I like [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], but it doesn’t feel like one of my kids and I think I remember SO not being too fond of it. Thank you for the suggestion, though!

I think it is fine. They are close but don’t seem to be too close for me.
