Ivy and Eve - too similar for twin girls? Yay or nay?

Hey berries!

Just wondering if you think Ivy and Eve are cute as a twin pair or too close?

They are my favourites from our shortlist (alternatives Grace, Marie, Annelise) but one minute I think the combo would be adorable but the next think it is way too similar.

Votes? Are the names too similar?

I think it’s too close. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] would make a great sibset though!

but I do love the idea of eve & grace or ivy & marie!

I think it’s a bit too close. Doable, but definitely too close for my tastes.

I love Eve/Ivy and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a twin pair :two_hearts:

It’s very close imo, but I do really like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u] as a sibset :blush:

They are super cute but also too similar. What if you’re inclined to call [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Evie[/name_f]? Then its way way too close.

Too close I think. Either of them with [name_f]Grace[/name_f] would work.

I don’t find them similar at all. They are both 3 letters and have a v in them, but that is it. They give me the same vibe. I love it!

I actually don’t think they’re too similar. Matchy? Yes. But sound-wise and even look-wise they’re quite distinct.

Too close. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] will probably get [name_f]Evie[/name_f] at some point and then it’s just too matchy.

Personally I don’t think so as long as [name_f]Eve[/name_f] doesn’t become [name_f]Evie[/name_f], but sisters (and especially twins!) might not appreciate being so close in name. That said both are lovely. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are perfect too!!

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] feel too close but [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] seem doable! [name_f]My[/name_f] niece is [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and her best friend is [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and I just love that.

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_u]Ever[/name_u] (still pretty similar)
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] (also still pretty similar but better in my opinion)
