Ivy Isobel?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] nameberries

Our daughter is due soon and we are likely going with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] for a name. Middle name was going to be [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], however I have gone off it and it does not feel like it has any relevance for us. We are considering [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], for my husbands granny. I just can’t work out if [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] clashes with the two I’s? One minute I think it’s too many I’s then then next I think it might be alright. Wondering what others think…

While I’m usually not a fan of doubles like this, I think it works. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] has a very melodious flow to it. It’s a gorgeous combo. That said, I think [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is a bit more realistic and down to [name_f]Earth[/name_f], I think it’s a bit of a stronger name. It’s also a great combination, no flow issues, and it doesn’t have the double letter throng I don’t like.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that all helped!

I love it! I think it flows well with the different meanings and syllables

Totally biased but I love it:) you could always use [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] /[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] as a variation of [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is beautiful too!
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a favorite of mine if you’re interested in suggestions:)

I think [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is beautiful! But so is [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], you can’t go wrong!

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] works really well!

I love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], one of the best combos that I have seen on here!

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is stunning! I think the two names flow nicely.

I think it’s very nice. It definitely doesn’t clash, it’s just whether you like alliteration or not.

Personally I think [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] sounds a bit better, but I love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] as a first name. Congrats!

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is amazing, I love the alliteration! Since the I’s sound different (one long, one short) , the names have no other matching sounds, and different numbers of syllables the flow is great!

They’re both good choices, but [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is stunning compared to [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
If I met someone named [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] I would be very intrigued and delighted. ^^
I’m not sure I would have any sort of reaction at all to an [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. It’s very expected or typical…

Thank you so much for your input everyone, it’s much appreciated  [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] just hasn’t been sticking for us. We also have another contender now, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f].

So I think it’s [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] vs [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Deciding between the two is hard, which do you think is the better contender?

I like the sound of [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] more than [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], however [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is a family name which also gives it points. Our last name is [name_m]Smith[/name_m] if that helps…
