[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] It’s got spark and sweetness - and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] feels substantial to me
I much prefer [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is a little bit too nicknamy for my taste, though I wouldn’t mind it as a nn for something like [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f]. But [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] stands on its own, it is less popular than [name_f]Evie[/name_f], so is more distinctive. So, I have voted for [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
I voted [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I don’t at all mind the ‘nicknameyness’ of [name_f]Evie[/name_f] - it’s become a name in its own right imo and is a pleasant riff on one of my favourite ever names, [name_f]Eve[/name_f], with a more established / substantial / vintage feel to it like some other nicknames-turned-names, ie [name_f]Gracie[/name_f]. I think of them as very [name_f]British[/name_f] wartime / land girl names. But it’s popularity now puts me off - every other little girl where I am seems to be called this. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], while not one of my favourites, feels much less common where I am (don’t know if that bears out in national stats), and I adore [name_f]Jane[/name_f], but I’m not keen on [name_f]Meadow[/name_f]. So those factors swing it for me, though if I put them aside I prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f] over [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
I voted for [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] because to me it feels like a complete name whereas [name_f]Evie[/name_f] can still come across nicknamey. Both very cute though.
I voted [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] because I always err on the side of giving someone a substantial standalone name with the option of a nickname.
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] is just adorable! [name_f]Truly[/name_f] gorgeous
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] gets my vote. It’s so similar in sound to [name_f]Evie[/name_f], but the names feel very different to me. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is grown-up, classy and smart, while [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is cute, adorable and a little girl. For that reason I think [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is the better name to grow up with.
