I love the name [name_f]Ivye[/name_f](as in another spelling for [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]) but now I have thought it through and am not so positive she can age with it. Are there any names that [name_f]Ivye[/name_f] can be a nickname for? Or can you see someone aging well with their name? If you have any middle names that would be good too.
I love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and think it would age very well, but the [name_f]Ivye[/name_f] spelling doesn’t appeal to me.
If you’re looking for a full name, maybe [name_f]Ivana[/name_f] (pronounced ee-va-na) or [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f]?
I’ve never seen it spelled this way, and I think it overcomplicates it a bit. That aside, I do think it works great as a stand alone name and could be easily paired with a middle name that could often be used together or you could go with a double first name (i.e. fn/mn combo [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or dbl fn [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f], or whatever other name you love). Otherwise…
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Yvette[/name_f]/[name_f]Ivette[/name_f]
…I’m not particularly drawn to any of these names though. Except maybe [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].
I like the name [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] as a standalone name, but when I first saw the spelling I read it as Ivv-yeh. The ‘e’ really doesn’t add much besides confusion.
Thanks I can see where you are getting at.
