Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us name our little boy. We have narrowed it down with the help of family, friends, and berries to [name]Jack[/name], [name]John[/name], and [name]Eli[/name]. I like the one-syllable straightfowardness of each name. I like the soft sound of [name]John[/name] and [name]Eli[/name], but [name]Jack[/name] seems to go better with [name]Charlotte[/name].
I like [name]Jack[/name] as a nn for [name]John[/name] or [name]Jonathon[/name]. Many people do use it as a stand alone name, but that is just my personal preference. I also like [name]Eli[/name] as a nn for [name]Elias[/name] or [name]Elijah[/name], all of them are great names that go with your dd’s name. Good luck!
I like [name]Eli[/name] or [name]John[/name]. I think “[name]Charlotte[/name] & [name]Eli[/name]” or “[name]Charlotte[/name] & [name]John[/name]” give quite a different idea … oh us name nerds and our mental images that go with names… but both sound handsome as pairs. [name]Jack[/name] is just a bit over-used for me, although I may be tying it in with the [name]Jackson[/name]/[name]Jaxon[/name] thing.
I like [name]Eli[/name] so much with [name]Charlotte[/name]. They share a softness & medium-popularity & familiarity
[name]John[/name] & [name]Charlotte[/name] feel very classic, somehow more formal
[name]Jack[/name] & [name]Charlotte[/name] are sweet together! I like [name]Eli[/name] slightly more though
I vote for [name]Eli[/name] (and secondly, [name]John[/name]; thirdly, [name]Jack[/name]). [name]John[/name] is a fine name. I like it and all, but the idea that it’s, historically, the #1 boys’ name would just make me want something more colorful and distinctive for the first name. I think [name]John[/name] makes an awesome middle name though. My only issue with [name]Jack[/name] is that it feels a bit nicknamey to me. Of the three names, [name]Eli[/name] seems like the ideal one.
