Another baby dilemma. I’m torn between [name_u]Jack[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u]. I absolutely love [name_u]August[/name_u], everyone I’ve spoken with is as torn as I am. His last name would end in the “ack” sound which is, in part, why [name_u]Jack[/name_u] was on our list to begin with. I love them both, but I do have a softer spot for August; there are just so many nicknames, certainly not the only reason.
Either way the middle name would be [name_u]Wade[/name_u], my maiden name.

I think [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Wade[/name_u] --ack sounds so handsome! I think the slightly softer sounding [name_u]August[/name_u] balances out the more snappy last name, and [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Wade[/name_u] just flows so well.
[name_f]My[/name_f] worry with [name_u]Jack[/name_u] [name_u]Wade[/name_u] --ack and that all the names are a bit abrupt, it doesn’t sound as smooth. Also while I am usually a huge fan of repeated sounds in names, the shortness of both the first and last name and the fact that they sound alike makes it a little bit too much repetition in my opinion. That’s just a matter of personal opinion though! Both are truly lovely names
(also to add, I love that you’re using your maiden name as a middle, I love seeing people do that! I think it’s a very special touch)
i don’t see the appeal of Jack —ack, the sounds are too sudden and it doesn’t flow well. do you like it because of Jack Black, or…?
that said, August is very lovely and i definitely think you should go with it if it’s your favorite. there’s no reason to pick Jack if you like August more

I’ve always liked Jack but August wins for me. It’s such a gentle, intelligent, handsome name with great nicknames. Plus, it sounds better with Wade and with your surname. Considering your surname, I’d also be concerned, if you used Jack, about how similar your son’s name would be to Jack Black’s (there’s nothing wrong with him but you want your son’s name to stand on its own and not be compared to someone else’s).
Both are great but I am particularly drawn to [name_u]August[/name_u]!

Especially considering his last name would be rhymey and he would have to use his whole name constantly to differentiate himself from all the other Jack/Jax/Jackson’s running around.

I personally like [name_u]August[/name_u] more. But [name_u]Jack[/name_u] is a fantastic name, and I also want to point out that [name_u]Jack[/name_u] [name_m]Black[/name_m] is an iconic name and easy to remember. So I wouldn’t be concern with your last name ending in “ack”

You sound like you really like [name_u]August[/name_u]! You have a lot of reasons for loving [name_u]August[/name_u] but I don’t see any for loving [name_u]Jack[/name_u]. So my vote goes to [name_u]August[/name_u]!
