After three years of trying, my best friend found out yesterday she’s having a boy. They are either using [name]Thomas[/name] or [name]Jack[/name]. They’re having a hard time choosing. I told her to just wait and see what he looks like, but they want his name now so they can start saying it while talking to him. What do you prefer?
[name]Thomas[/name] is more versatile and less common these days. It can pair with any kind of middle and really make a style statement:
Modern:
[name]Thomas[/name] MacAlpin
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Kai[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Birch[/name]
Hipster:
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Arlo[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Everett[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Alistair[/name]

[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Beckett[/name]
Antique:
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Gregor[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Cassian[/name]
Tryndee:
[name]Thomas[/name] Raylen
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Brayden[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Greyson[/name]
Classic:
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Andrew[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Byron[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Grant[/name]
[name]Jack[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] would be the best.
[name]Thomas[/name]! [name]Jack[/name] is overexposed (although still a nice name), whereas [name]Thomas[/name] is overlooked. [name]Thomas[/name] is a bit more timeless and handsome to me as well.
I really prefer [name]Jack[/name]. [name]Jack[/name] is handsome and adventurous to me (and I only know one) while I know a ton of [name]Thomas[/name]’ and it just seems boring.
[name]Jack[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] would be very handsome too as suggested up there.
I do love the name [name]Jack[/name], but I much prefer [name]Thomas[/name]. It’s more classic and versatile and less common/popular. However, I definitely agree with you that they should wait and see what they think after he’s born. Or they could try calling him [name]Jack[/name] for a week, then call him [name]Thomas[/name]/[name]Tommy[/name]/[name]Tom[/name] for a week and see which feels better.
Congratulations to them! I also prefer [name]Thomas[/name], as I know a lot of Jacks.
They’re both lovely, but my heart is with [name]Jack[/name]. I think either [name]Jack[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] or [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jack[/name] would be fabulous, though, if she wants to keep both!
