Jack - should I give this name a place on my list?

[name_m]Jack[/name_m] has been on my mind lately. I know one [name_m]Jack[/name_m] who is about 24, so it’s not popular in my area. I have just been wondering what other people think about [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. Also how many Jacks so you know? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would fit with my other names in my signature?
I think it have been drawn to it because I have been trying to get away from boys names that end in N as I love too many but they don’t work as a brother set for example I love [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m] and [name_m]Cian[/name_m] bit can’t use them all so though of [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as an alternative.
Also if I did put [name_m]Jack[/name_m] on my list it would be just [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and not [name_m]Jackson[/name_m].
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] would maybe end up being a middle name as I already have a favourite J name and I’m not keen on sibling with the same first letters.

Thanks for you help.

I adore [name_m]Jack[/name_m] (I have [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] high on my list). I have only known/know a handful of Jacks. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] goes very well with [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Declan[/name_m], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Miles[/name_m], and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. It is okay with [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. I am not fond of [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], to me, are very different names and bring up different imagery.

I love [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as well. Unfortunately, I know A LOT of little boys with this name and popularity is a big deal to me, so I would never use it. :frowning: I do agree that [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] give off a TOTALLY different vibe, but unfortunately, I know several Jacksons as well and they also all go by [name_m]Jack[/name_m].

I really love the idea of [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as a middle name; perhaps even more than a first name. It would sound pretty cool with many of your other favorites.

Very very popular in [name_f]England[/name_f]/[name_m]Wales[/name_m], in my year at school there were roughly 6 Jacks (of say, 80 boys?) and I know it’s been popular ever since then, I still hear little Jacks all the time… I don’t know exact popularity but I think it’s still top 5, in the UK the most popular names usually remain fairly stagnant for decades haha.

I still adore it though. It’s a family name that my mum was desperate to use for me. I’ll probably use it in the middle for a future son.

I adore [name_m]Jack[/name_m], it is such a handsome name. I would say [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a male [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - classic but stylish, simple but not plain and with a lot of history. I think [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m] would be lovely together.

[name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] is a common name for little boys in my area, so unfortunately I do know a lot. I like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] though, just wouldn’t use it myself due to that. I think it works well with your other favorite names.
