My husband and I just found out that we are expecting another baby boy in [name_u]November[/name_u]. My husband likes the name [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] (or [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]) [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. Our last name is DeFranco. We already have a son named [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. We call [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] “[name_m]Jax[/name_m]” and if we name our baby [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] we will probably call him “[name_u]Grey[/name_u]”. I’m worried that the [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] are too similar. Are they? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I don’t think the sounds are too similar, besides the ‘son’ ending. However, you might get stuck with a theme if plan on having more children.

[name_u]Logan[/name_u]

I think it is too similar, but someone I went to school with had 4 boys and all are “son” names I think she even has a [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and a [name_m]Greyson[/name_m].
Why not just name him [name_u]Grey[/name_u] If you are planning on using the nick name, Maybe with a longer middle name.
I also think they are rather close. But doable if thats what you want. I like the idea of just naming him [name_u]Grey[/name_u].
I think they are too similar and TBH I like [name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] better.
In full they do feel a bit too similar to me, but if you’d be calling them [name_m]Jax[/name_m] and [name_u]Grey[/name_u] most of the time I don’t think it really matters. They definitely go together stylistically.
Would you consider Greyer or [name_m]Dougray[/name_m] nn [name_u]Grey[/name_u]/[name_u]Gray[/name_u] instead? Or just [name_u]Grey[/name_u], as a pp suggested?
