I’m trying to name a masculine girl character LI, and was thinking [name_f]Jadwiga[/name_f] (yad-VEE-ga) ? I was also considering [name_u]Lynx[/name_u] or [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f]. Any thoughts ?
[name_f]Jadwiga[/name_f] isn’t my style, but I think [name_u]Lynx[/name_u] would fit her perfectly.

I think I may call her [name_f]Jadwiga[/name_f] with the nn [name_u]Lynx[/name_u] (I’m a firm believer in nns not having to have anything to do with one’s actual name, like if a [name_u]Maria[/name_u] is a sly and cunning lady, she’d be nn’d Leopard or [name_m]Leo[/name_m] despite it having nothing to do with her name.). And I love [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f] but I think it may be a tad too feminine.

I also love [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f], and I think [name_u]Lynx[/name_u] works as a nickname for any name, like you mentioned.
[name_f]Jadwiga[/name_f] is rising in popularity again in Poland, I guess you could call it a trending vintage name. Personally I don’t really like it, but it’s a perfectly good name.
