Jago, Verity, Zinnia, and…

Expecting number 4 at the of the year and already thinking up some ideas. We already have [name_m]Jago[/name_m] (Go/GoGo), [name_f]Verity[/name_f] (Vee), and [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] (Zinnie/Zin).

I’ve brought over some old favourites onto my new list and some newer favourites:

Boys: [name_m]Finbar[/name_m], Raffidy, [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], and [name_m]Magnus[/name_m].

Girls: [name_f]Marit[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], and [name_f]Inez[/name_f].

I’m eager to hear thoughts and opinions on the name listed and to hear any suggestions.

Thanks!

I would go with Magnus or Leonora. Magnus Finbar and Leonora Inez maybe? I like Inez best with the vibe of your kids’ names but Zinnia and Inez share 3 letters and seem very similar visually. Maybe that doesn’t bother you though. And then Zin and Fin would make them sound like twins. I also really like Finbar for you.

Congratulations - and what gorgeous names!

A few patterns emerging here: Marit and Verity, [name_m]Zin[/name_m]nia and [name_m]Fin[/name_m]bar, Jago and Amos, Inez and [name_m]Zin[/name_m]nia. It depends how much these bother you. I personally wouldn’t do [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] in the same set as [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] as he’s likely to get [name_m]Fin[/name_m] when you already have [name_m]Zin[/name_m], but the [name_f]Marit[/name_f] and [name_m]Amos[/name_m] are both so cool and I don’t think the overlap is so noticeable.

I adore [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], and can see her with the girls’ names, but find her a little formal for [name_m]Jago[/name_m]. Again, that may not bother you as long as she vibes well with the girls. [name_f]Love[/name_f] that she comes with the option of [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f], although would [name_m]Leo[/name_m] clash with [name_m]Jago[/name_m]? I also like [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] but again he’s a little weighty with jaunty [name_m]Jago[/name_m].

I think on balance my pick for you would be [name_f]Flora[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] for a girl, and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] for a boy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Congratulations! [name_m]You[/name_m] have such a gorgeous set

From your boys list, my favorites are definitely [name_m]Amos[/name_m] & [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] - they have the strong, unexpected feel of J, V, & Z without imitating their sounds too closely. I love [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] as well, but I agree with the previous poster in saying that he may get the nickname [name_m]Fin[/name_m], which is rhyme-y with Zinnie/Zin/Zinnia.

For girls, I love [name_f]Marit[/name_f]! [name_f]Flora[/name_f] & [name_f]Willa[/name_f] are maybe too cottagecore / vintage vibes for your set, & [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is lovely but not as stand-out as [name_f]Marit[/name_f]. [name_f]Inez[/name_f] is another gem, but definitely sounds a little too close to [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] in sound… so I guess it all depends on how much that bothers you!

A few suggestions, if you’d like them:
[name_f]Lovisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
[name_f]Thora[/name_f]
[name_f]Ottoline[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_f]Leda[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f]
[name_f]Anouk[/name_f]

[name_m]Laszlo[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivo[/name_m] / [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] / [name_m]Ives[/name_m]
[name_m]Sylvan[/name_m]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]

I love your kids’ names!
I’d pick [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] (but if you want nicknames since the other kids have them, [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] “Finn” and [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] “Leni” are nice too)

All your names have so much zing I would immediately eliminate the more common/acceptable [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m].

From your list I agree with earlier comments about name similarities and would thus choose [name_m]Amos[/name_m] or [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_f]Margit[/name_f] or [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] (love!)

Alt suggestions:

[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_m]Ivor[/name_m], [name_m]Ragnar[/name_m]

Margali, [name_m]Wren[/name_m], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] or even [name_f]Ines[/name_f] (ee-NESS prn)

[name_m]Amos[/name_m] and [name_f]Inez[/name_f] for sure! They immediately stood out to me and just felt right! I disagree with the idea that [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] and [name_f]Inez[/name_f] are too similar. They just make sense to me with [name_m]Jago[/name_m], [name_f]Verity[/name_f], and [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f].

[name_m]Amos[/name_m] and [name_f]Inez[/name_f] fit seamlessly with your childrens names

[name_m]Maci[/name_m]
[name_f]Madelene[/name_f]
Nell/Nelle
[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]

Your kids’ names are jaw-droppingly lovely. And all the ideas you’ve got for sibs are wonderful, too. I think I’d be inclined toward [name_m]Amos[/name_m] for a boy and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] for a girl, but…you can’t go wrong. :face_holding_back_tears:

I love Silas and Magnus and Amos for you fo boys. Magnus is 6 letters just like the girls , where Amos is 4 like Jago . I think of the boys names Magnus is my favourite
For a girl I am leaning into Willa & Inez . A just read an incredible book where Willa was one of the characters and it really made me appreciate the name !
Inez I just love and I think it works really well with Zinnia and Verity

My suggestions would be

Ivor
Torin

Delphi
Alba

Are you Cornish by any chance? I quite like Raffidy alongside [name_m]Jago[/name_m], although don’t know anything about it other than Raffidy Dumitz is a Cornish band. Is it used as a given name as well?

I also like [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] & [name_f]Inez[/name_f].

Hugest congratulations

Absolutely love your kiddos names! I also love your list so many beauties.

My thoughts

[name_m]Finbar[/name_m] ~ I think [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] is a fun creative choice that I think fits nicely in with your sibling set. I also love the nickname [name_m]Finn[/name_m] but maybe this nickname is a little too close to [name_m]Zin[/name_m].

Raffidy ~ I prefer [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] I’m not keen on the sharpness off the d within this name.

[name_m]Amos[/name_m] ~ I think he’s a lovely vintage gentlemanly choice that feels soft and gentle. But I do think [name_m]Amos[/name_m] lacks the spark of your older kids names.

[name_m]Silas[/name_m] ~ similar feedback too [name_m]Amos[/name_m]. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choice but just not as cool as your older kids names.

[name_m]Magnus[/name_m] ~ I think this name is the champion for me. [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] just has this lofty distinguished cool guy flair that is perfection with your kiddos and the nickname [name_m]Gus[/name_m] is adorable.

Suggestions: [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Casimir[/name_m], [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_f]Aquila[/name_f], [name_m]Elias[/name_m], [name_m]Aries[/name_m], [name_m]Mathias[/name_m], [name_m]Moses[/name_m], [name_m]Osiris[/name_m], [name_m]Ozias[/name_m], [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], [name_m]Florian[/name_m], [name_m]Pascoe[/name_m], [name_m]Joss[/name_m], [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], [name_f]Marlow[/name_f], [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m], [name_m]Orson[/name_m], [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] + [name_m]Willis[/name_m].

[name_f]Marit[/name_f] ~ this is my first time encountering [name_f]Marit[/name_f] and I can see the appeal she’s sleek, understated and polished however I also find her a little sharp maybe too sharp next too your more romantic kiddos.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] ~ oh gosh I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f]! She’s a firm favourite of mine I think she’s beautiful springtime choice packed with charm. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] name. However I do like how distinct each name each and maybe [name_f]Flora[/name_f] after a flower name lacks that distinction which makes your sibling set cool.

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] ~ spunky, eclectic name oozing cool girl energy that definitely is a berry favourite however [name_f]Willa[/name_f] lacks the romance of your sibling set so isn’t my favourite choice for you.

[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] ~ absolutely love [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] honestly I think she’s perfection I would use upfront if it wasn’t for my daughter being [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] to many L’s and A’s for me. Anyways this isn’t an issue for you and I think [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is beautiful, majestic, romantic and just gorgeous packed with cool nickname options. [name_f]Love[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] works for your sibling set as well.

[name_f]Inez[/name_f] ~ I think [name_f]Inez[/name_f] is lovely she’s polished, elegant, looks fun with that Z ending and I think she would feel rather effortless in your sibling set. I also like how distinct [name_f]Inez[/name_f] is with own individual ending which I feel is part of the appeal within your sibling set. I think this name is so aesthetically on brand for you guys honestly. For me it’s between [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] + [name_f]Inez[/name_f] for your sibling set.

Suggestions: [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], [name_f]Capri[/name_f], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Marlow[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Selene[/name_f], [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Seren[/name_f], [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], [name_f]Eleri[/name_f], [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Charis[/name_f] + [name_f]Avalon[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

Congratulations! Your kids have gorgeous names.

I like [name_m]Magnus[/name] best out of your boys’ names, and I also think [name_m]Silas[/name] would be lovely with your set. I like [name_f]Leonora[/name] from your girls’ list, but I think maybe the shorter [name_f]Leonor[/name] would be better with [name_m]Jago[/name]? I also like [name_f]Willa[/name]. Some suggestions:

I’m not Cornish but I spent a lot of my childhood there on holidays as my grandparents had a home there. We go every summer now too as a family and it’s such a special place to our family and we have lots of wonderful memories already of our kids enjoying the beaches and everything Cornwall has to offer

I found the name Raffidy a few summers ago when we visited and there was a stone statue and its name was listed as St Raffidy and I kind of fell in love with the name…I had [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] on a list but I think Raffidy is so much more fun.
