I love [name_u]James[/name_u], but [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is a lot more unique. I love [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].

I haven’t even thought of [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]. I really like it.

I could not vote, I equally love [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] feels like the whole combo is playing way too safe.

I lovelovelove [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], but I like the double-middle combo of yours I’ve seen, [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]. Ironically, I like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] much more than [name_u]James[/name_u], and would be much more inclined to call a son [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] than [name_u]James[/name_u]. So I’d probably do [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], and call him [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. I’ve never am really for the whole calling a child by his/her mn thing, but I like it here for some reason. haha.

[name_u]Ash[/name_u], I keep going back and forth with [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]. I love the double middle, but can’t help thinking that it might be too much. I also don’t want to have one son with two middles and others with just one. It might be just me, but it seems unfair. I might change my mind after having more than one child though.

@lovemysweeties
I agree with you about [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]. It seems very plain to me, but I wasn’t sure.

I voted [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], but if you wanted to save [name_u]James[/name_u] for a future name then [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] is nice as well.

Could the ones who voted on the poll, but didn’t comment please tell me why you choose which combo?

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]!

I prefer it to [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] because it doesn’t repeat the [name_m]Ah[/name_m] sound.

I don’t notice that.

[name_m]Matthew[/name_m] is pronounced [name_m]MATH[/name_m]-yoo and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is [name_m]AL[/name_m]-ə-rik .

The ‘a’ sound in [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] is like the ‘a’ in ‘[name_f]Cat[/name_f]’/Sat/[name_u]Mat[/name_u] to me
The ‘a’ sound in [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is like the ‘u’ in ‘[name_m]Just[/name_m]/Bust’ to me.

It might just be me though.

I like [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] but I like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] as the first name best because it’s a bit more unusual and for some reason I think [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds better than [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], I don’t know why though.

You pronounce the first syllable of [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] like just? Wouldn’t that be uh-luh-rik? [name_m]Ulrick[/name_m]?

I meant the first syllable of both has the same [name_m]AH[/name_m] sound. MAH-thew & [name_m]AH[/name_m]-luh-rik

No. I meant the second syllable. [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is [name_m]Al[/name_m] - ə(uh) - rik. The begininning of [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is like [name_u]Sal[/name_u], [name_u]Mal[/name_u] and [name_u]Cal[/name_u].

loving [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]

And also like [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] which was my original point.

I agree. Once I started loving two middles, I was completely sold. I have way too much OCD to use some with two middles and some with one. (Plus, perfect solution: [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]King[/name_m]! I totally love your two middle style. :)) Any combination of those is amazing: [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] ([name_u]Jamie[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]?), [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] (!!!), [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], etc… They’re just perfection. And I’m sure you could come up with other fab combinations, as well.

I like [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] or [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. Not a fan of [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].

I absolutely love two middles. It’s a great way for me to honor family and use the names I love. I have the same problem. As much as I love [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] it’s not quite complete to me without another middle.

Thanks! I think the names and combinations complement each other very well. The only problem with them is that I have what I see as the perfect combinations, but can’t think of any others. Luckily I still have many years to come up with new ones. :stuck_out_tongue:
