Hi berries! I was just on the name profile for [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], which I’m considering for my baby and was reading the “famous people” catagory and discovered a girl of whom [name_u]James[/name_u] was her middle name. I actually adore the combination, but I’m apprehensive on [name_u]James[/name_u] for a girl. Is it weird? I definitely wouldn’t use it as a first, would you?
P.S: does anyone know how I can get my past account unsuspended? I don’t have an “alt account”…thank you!
I don’t think it’s weird at all. Definitely would use it as a middle name. A few years ago I would have said no for a girl’s first name but since it was popularized ([name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] named their daughter [name_u]James[/name_u]) I actually like it, even as a first name.
I’d definitely go for it though because [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] is beautiful!
I might be a bit out of the ordinary with this one but I actually quite like a lot of boy names on girls, so I think [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds very cool on a girl.
I don’t like it tbh. [name_f]My[/name_f] imagery of [name_u]James[/name_u] is completely different from a girl, and using it as a middle doesn’t change it. Also [name_u]James[/name_u] is very popular as a mn for boys and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds a bit odd to me.
It’s usable, though.
I don’t particularly care for [name_u]James[/name_u] on a girl, I can see the appeal to an extent but I just think there are nicer sounding names. It feels a little trendy imo.
I think any name can be unisex, if your strong enough since I do think they’ll be backlash in a sense of “but isn’t [name_u]James[/name_u] a boy name!” , and don’t mind silly questions than yes! I say go for it
