Although I usually prefer the name [name_u]James[/name_u], I love [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] in this instance. It’s a wonderful name, and one I’d honestly consider if I was having a son too! The flow, and both names are beautiful.

I think it would definitely depend on if you’d want a more common first name or not!

I prefer [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] BUT
I voted [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
Because of all the hate for the name [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] by the younger ones. There’s many, many tiktoks and tweets of young Tristans (and friends) asking why their parents hated them so much to give them that name. I don’t understand the hate but I am wary of it.

Definitely say [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_u]James[/name_u] is way too common for a first.
