James

Thoughts on [name]James[/name] for a girl? What are some middle names that could go with [name]James[/name]?

Kind of weird, but in a nice way. [name]James[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]?

Better as a mn if you’re set on using it. [name]Carolina[/name] [name]James[/name] sounds adventurous!

I love [name]James[/name] for a girl! [name]James[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]James[/name] [name]Clara[/name], [name]James[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]

[name]James[/name] on a girl is ridiculous.

If you use it, I would definitely go with something really girly in the middle! I’m sure she would be mistaken for a boy sometimes when the name is just on paper, but honestly…there are so many names nowadays where it’s hard to tell without seeing the child! I’m a pediatric nurse and there have been tons of times where I go into a room not knowing whether the child is a boy or girl. People get used to it. Everyone were always surprised “[name]Kennedi[/name]” was a girl when I was younger and now the name is much more popular and mostly used for girls!

For a first name I wouldn’t go with that unless you planned to call her [name]Jamie[/name]. It would be better used as a middle name.

[name]Ava[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] [name]James[/name]

[name]James[/name] is not a good name for a girl, sorry. Let’s leave it to boys. [name]Jaime[/name] or [name]Jamie[/name] are more suitable for a girl.

[name]James[/name] is all boy to me. But IF you do use it pick a girly middle name for her. GL

Since [name]Jamie[/name] is a unisex option very close to [name]James[/name], I doubt that [name]James[/name] will ever cross into being used much on girls. Your little girl might feel a bit awkward with a “boys name”. Also, if there is a boy [name]James[/name] in your daughter’s class, he might also then get teased because there is a girl named [name]James[/name] as well.

Thanks for sharing your opinions! I don’t plan on using the name, a family friend had a baby girl about 6 months ago and named her [name]James[/name] [name]Maya[/name]. I did not like the name at first, but as little [name]James[/name] is growing and showing her personality, i think her name really fits her in a unique way.

Also, we call her JJ as a nickname and I think it’s absolutely adorable!

No. Not as a first name. No no no. But as a mn, i think it would be pretty. There is a trend going on right now with giving girls masculine mn’s. I love the idea of [name]Caroline[/name] [name]James[/name] or [name]Felicity[/name] [name]James[/name]

Please no.

There are so many lovely proper girl’s name out there, why the need to keep using solid boy’s names like [name]James[/name]?!

As a middle name, it’s OK for a girl, but not as a first name.

Does this remind anyone else of the [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables books? Someone’s name was [name]Jamesina[/name] (nn Jimsie) after her deceased father, [name]James[/name]. Now, I thought that was awesome, but [name]James[/name] is just a little too far fetched for me.

Can we please please please leave [name]James[/name] for the boys? It’s one of my favorite boy names and if it becomes a girl name it will never go back! I do kind of like the masculine middle name trend for girls, though. It seems spunky.

Yep. This is why the name [name]Jamesina[/name] exists. It’s the feminine form of [name]James[/name].

I love [name]James[/name] for a little girl! It has been on my list for ages. I have yet to find a nice middle name for it. So far I have [name]James[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] but I don’t love it.

Perhaps when people start calling their sons [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] then maybe I might consider [name]James[/name] for a girl. But until then, [name]James[/name] is strictly masculine. Though to me it will always be strictly masculine. It sounds utterly ridiculous on a girl.

I advocate for [name]James[/name] to remain masculine only.

[name]Jamie[/name] is a good alternative - it is a widely accepted unisex name.

It’s not my style, but it’s okay. I prefer it as a middle name on a girl, for example my friend has a daughter named [name]Naomi[/name] [name]James[/name].

[name]James[/name] [name]Arianna[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Melisande[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Guinevere[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Valentina[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Oriana[/name]
[name]James[/name] [name]Adeline[/name] (pron. add-eh-leen)
[name]James[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]James[/name] Raffaella
[name]James[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]

Basically I think longer names work best in the MN slot, especially ones ending in A or “een” sounds
