Can [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] be a nickname for something other than [name_u]James[/name_u]?
[name_u]Jameson[/name_u] is the only other name I can think of.
My brother’s best friend is [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], nickname [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. I actually loved it immediately! Very unexpected…but completely works!
Also: [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] | [name_m]Jamerson[/name_m] | [name_m]Jamal[/name_m]
[name_u]Jamison[/name_u] pronounced jay.miss.on emphasis on the first syllable.
[name_u]Jameson[/name_u] just like [name_u]James[/name_u] plus son, similar to the first one I listed but I pronounce this as only two sylls. Maybe that is because of where I am from.
[name_m]Jamal[/name_m] as jah-Mall
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] or [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]
[name_m]Jamar[/name_m] or [name_m]Jamarion[/name_m]
I think just [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] works well as a full name I know two boy just [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]'s ones sixteen the other is one and it works fine for them. I like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] as a full name or [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] which i pronounce [name_m]Jam[/name_m]-ess-son and the girl I know with the surname says it the same
I was going to suggest [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], [name_u]Jamison[/name_u] or [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] nn [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is pretty cool! [name_m]Jamin[/name_m] is a name on its own, too. It’s an Old Testament Hebrew name, probably related to [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].
Where I’m from [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is really popular as a full name so I don’t actually think it needs to be a nickname for anything. I do kind of like the idea of [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] nn [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] that someone suggested though.
We also have a friend who is a [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], nn [name_u]Jamie[/name_u].
However, most [name_m]Jamies[/name_m] I know are either named [name_u]James[/name_u], or just [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. I like [name_u]Jamison[/name_u]/[name_u]Jameson[/name_u], but don’t know anyone by either name.
