I posted earlier today about liking [name]Alina[/name] or [name]Lena[/name] for our third baby girl. But then I thought about [name]Jane[/name]. My husband’s name is [name]Jon[/name], and I like that [name]Jane[/name] is the feminine form of [name]Jon[/name]. But what would be a good middle name for [name]Jane[/name], since [name]Jane[/name] is usually used as a middle name? I can think of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Jane[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]. And does [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] go together?
I love the name [name]Jane[/name], but in your case in particular I might use it as the middle name, just because I don’t think that [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], and [name]Jane[/name] do go together very well. I [name]ADORE[/name] the name [name]Lena[/name] (especially if you pronounce it [name]LAY[/name]-nah, and not [name]LEE[/name]-nah) and I think it goes splendidly with your other two girls. And [name]Lena[/name] [name]Jane[/name] has a sort of ring to it that I find appealing. If you’ve got your heart set on [name]Jane[/name], by all means - it is a lovely name. As for middle names for [name]Jane[/name], I would think something a little fancy…not too frilly, of course, but perhaps something like [name]Helena[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name]? I think any of the more common flower names would work nicely as well…perhaps [name]Violet[/name]? If you don’t mind the alliteration, I like [name]Jane[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]…and I think that any literary heroine’s names would suit [name]Jane[/name] wonderfully - of course, all the [name]Janes[/name] I know are rather bookish. [name]Jane[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] would be nice, as would [name]Jane[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (as you mentioned) and I like [name]Jane[/name] [name]Emma[/name] or [name]Jane[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], even. I think that whatever choice you end up making will be a good one, and congratulations!
I think it could definitely work as a fn, but I really like [name]Lena[/name] ([name]Lee[/name]-nuh) and [name]Alina[/name]. I think [name]Lena[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is gorgeous; I know it’s a little short, but it’s one of my favorite names. I also think it goes great with [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name]. Short and old-fashioned, but with a slight contemporary feel.
I also want to add that [name]Jon[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] are so similar that the two may get mixed up sometimes. If you love it though, you should go for it!
I think that [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] sound good together. I personally like [name]Jane[/name] as a first name. I like your idea of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Olivia[/name].
I think [name]Jane[/name] fits very well with [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name]! [name]Jane[/name] needs a more interesting and long middle, in my opinion:
I have a friend named [name]Jane[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], ironically, and the name fits her perfectly. She is studious beyond belief, incredibly serious and hardworking, nicer than nice, generous, eloquent, dedicated, and motivated. She is confident and classy, and an all-around lovely, girl-next-door type deal!
However, [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], and [name]Jane[/name] doesn’t work that well for me. [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] are fun and flirty, whereas [name]Jane[/name] is dull and lackluster in comparison. [name]Jane[/name], [name]Louise[/name], and [name]Beatrice[/name] is cute, but [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], and [name]Jane[/name] seems off-kilter. What about [name]Jana[/name]?
I love [name]Jane[/name] so much as a first name, and while it’s not as exotic sounding as [name]Tessa[/name] or [name]Eva[/name], I think it could still work. If you’re unsure of it as a first name, you could always use it in the middle to honor your husband. (I personally love [name]Jane[/name] as a first name, though!)
I love [name]Jane[/name] as a first name. I think it is actually very refreshing. I can honestly say the first little [name]Jane[/name] I’ve ever met was one years old. In my opinion I can see this name aging very well. [name]Janie[/name]/[name]Janey[/name] is a cute spunky nn and [name]Jane[/name] alone I find very beautiful and sophisticated.
I saw [name]Jane[/name] [name]Miranda[/name] was suggested, I second that.
I think [name]Jane[/name] leaves the middle name spot open to anything fabulous.
Thanks, everyone! I mentioned [name]Jane[/name] to my husband, and he said, “Plain [name]Jane[/name]?” He doesn’t care for, so I guess it’s out. But I’m going to look through the middle name and other suggestions to see if we can find something we like for a first name. I feel like I’m all over the place with names, but I really want to find something we love as much as our other two daughters’ names ([name]Eva[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]). Coming up with a third girl name is hard! My husband likes names like [name]Josephine[/name]/[name]Josie[/name] and [name]Sylvia[/name], but those still sound really old fashioned to me. Well, I’m not due until [name]June[/name], so we still have time to find that perfect name!
[name]How[/name] about [name]June[/name] then? A lot like [name]Jane[/name], but not so plain! I think [name]June[/name] is adorable and still ages well. Someone suggested [name]Jane[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] which I think is great, also great as [name]June[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]. Good [name]Luck[/name]!
Too funny! [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], and [name]Lena[/name] are in my top fave names right now. I also like the name [name]Jane[/name], it is my cousins name. I think all of those names go well together. They are all classic, simple, feminine names that fit well together.
