January

We have twins named [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]April[/name_f] who are four and now we have another addition who was meant to arrive 30 [name_u]January[/name_u] but was late and came in [name_f]February[/name_f]. We were going to name her [name_u]January[/name_u], but now some how for some reason I am having second thoughts.

I suggested [name_f]February[/name_f] instead and while most people like [name_u]January[/name_u] everyone hates [name_f]February[/name_f], but I find it really cute. Then there is [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] but she was born on [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f].

Today another name popped up “[name_f]Tea[/name_f]”. They interviewed a young Canadian woman on TV today and her name was [name_f]Tea[/name_f] and while not fond of the drink I find the name so sweet.

I still like [name_u]January[/name_u] but it seems wrong for some reason, I am probably just being moody

Tell me what you all think

Personally, I like [name_u]January[/name_u] the best from your list. I don’t think [name_f]February[/name_f] is as usable as a name, as it’s lesser known as a baby name (if that makes sense?), and days of the week have always seemed kind of silly to me as names.

I think [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_f]April[/name_f] and [name_u]January[/name_u] go very nicely together.

Ohhh I like [name_u]January[/name_u]!

I like [name_u]January[/name_u] and [name_f]Tea[/name_f]. They are both sweet. And of course it’s not to late to finalizing a name for her.

I also think it’s a cute story for her to tell, “hi I’m [name_u]January[/name_u], but was I was running late and was born in [name_f]February[/name_f]”.

I think two month names in a group of siblings is too much, especially because then poor [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] is the odd one out. Sisters [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_u]January[/name_u] and… [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] seems weird. Same really for a day name.

I don’t think month/day names really have to be the birth month/day, but I still don’t think this is a good idea.

I would go in another direction entirely.

I think [name_f]Tea[/name_f] (prefer the tay-uh pron.) or maybe [name_u]Teal[/name_u] would be nice with [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]April[/name_f]

[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_u]Scout[/name_u]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
[name_u]Blaise[/name_u]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Lulu[/name_f]

With you already having an [name_f]April[/name_f], I wouldn’t use a month or day name.i would use another soft, sweet name:

Julia
Emily
Madeleine
Ella
Halle
Lucy
Cora
Mia
Tia

I had a friend who went by Tee. Although the spelling is different, it all sounds the same and no one thought much of it. Then again, that was her nickname. I do think [name_f]Tea[/name_f] is sweet though, but I’m British so it would just get odd looks from us big tea drinkers.

As you already have an [name_f]April[/name_f], a [name_u]January[/name_u] would just look bizarre to me. Have you looked at names specifically for [name_f]February[/name_f] babies? For example:

[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] (the [name_f]February[/name_f] birthstone)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] (one of [name_f]February[/name_f]'s birth flowers)
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] (another one of [name_f]February[/name_f]'s birth flowers)
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] (for [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s [name_u]Day[/name_u], 14th [name_f]February[/name_f])
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (symbolic tree for [name_f]February[/name_f])

I agree with all of this. I think it would be really strange to have an [name_f]April[/name_f], a [name_u]January[/name_u], and a…[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. [name_u]January[/name_u] is a cute name, but using it is a bad idea. I would choose a different name.

[name_f]Tea[/name_f] is cute, but I like the “tia” pronunciation. What about [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]/[name_u]Tegan[/name_u]? A lot of Teagans and Tegans go by [name_f]Tea[/name_f], and it’s a super cute name.
