I’m considering [name]Opal[/name] or [name]Matilda[/name] for a girl, perhaps [name]Theo[/name] for a boy, although I’m still really hesitant. [name]Do[/name] you think two gem names in one family is too much (–for that matter, do you see [name]Jasper[/name] as a gem name?) I really love [name]Lilac[/name] too, but feel it’s definitely too much with [name]Violet[/name]! Any suggestions, lovelies?
[name]Edit[/name]: WDYT of [name]Hart[/name] for a boy?
With [name]Jasper[/name], [name]Ella[/name], [name]Sullivan[/name], and [name]Violet[/name], I prefer [name]Matilda[/name] over [name]Opal[/name]. I think [name]Opal[/name] is a little too much with [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]; you should probably stay away from nature names. [name]Matilda[/name] is lovely. [name]Theo[/name] is nice, but I prefer [name]Theodore[/name], nn [name]Theo[/name]. I’m not sure if it can stand alone. I can’t see [name]Hart[/name] as a name, rather than a surname, and it might be mistaken for ‘Heart’, which I’m sure your son would not appreciate. What about:
I love your kids names! think [name]Opal[/name] would be okay with [name]Jasper[/name], because most don’t first associate [name]Jasper[/name] as gem (at least, I don’t). But I think it’s a bit much with [name]Violet[/name]. I actually think [name]Matilda[/name] is perfect and [name]Theo[/name] is great. It has the same vintage vibe as all your names and just seems like a great fit. I don’t love [name]Hart[/name], I think it’s a but wordy with your set (even though it’s spelled [name]Hart[/name] people will hear Heart), having [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Hart[/name] together makes me think of Purple Heart. Okay, so some suggestions!
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Charity[/name] (I love this with your set because it’s a word name but it doesn’t fall into any of the word categories you’ve already used!)
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Norah[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name] (reminiscent of [name]Lilac[/name])
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name]
Im kinda lovin [name]Hart[/name] for a boy! Idk why but i think it would be way cute and could grow well with him. I dislike [name]Matilda[/name] for some reason. I think it might be because [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] are so sweet and [name]Matilda[/name] seems too hard to me. [name]Opal[/name] I feel has the same problem as [name]Matilda[/name]. Some other names that might work for a girl…
From what you guys have said, I think it’d be best to go with more of a ‘name’ name. Sort of [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name] style  I like [name]Delilah[/name], [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] a lot! [name]Harper[/name]'s really pretty, but to my ears it’s a little American to match with my other names. [name]Vivienne[/name]'s another name I love, but rather too similar to [name]Vi[/name]
Thanks for all the suggestions, your thoughts have been really valuable!
