I’m falling in love with [name]Jem[/name] as a nickname for [name]James[/name].
Problem is, I know 2 little [name]Jemma[/name]'s (not sure if they’re spelled with G or J, to be honest)
[name]Do[/name] you think it’s too girly?

I don’t know, I see your problem. I don’t think its too girly, but people’s minds will go straight to [name]Jem[/name] from TKAM. I think [name]Jem[/name] is fine for a boy.
I really like [name]Jem[/name] for [name]James[/name]. I think of [name]Jem[/name] from To Kill A Mockingbird…(I think the character’s full name was [name]Jeremy[/name] though). However, as kid of the 80s, I also think of the cartoon girl rocker [name]JEM[/name]. So, I think it could be used for boys or girls kinda like [name]Ash[/name] or [name]Sam[/name].
80’s girl myself, I do think of the cartoon. But [name]Jem[/name] reminds me more of [name]Anne[/name]'s son from the [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables books. He was a [name]James[/name] [name]Matthew[/name] I believe. I really don’t find it feminine at all, in spite of the cartoon.
