Thoughts on this name for a girl?
The sound isn’t bad but it feels a little dated to me? Maybe because it sounds like a combination of Jennifer and Vanessa, both of which seem quite 90s to me!

I’ve never heard the name [name_f]Janessa[/name_f] before, and think that I’m starting to like it more than [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] as I think about it more. It’s different without being gaudy and confusing.
I really like it, actually! It sounds very 80s or 90s to me but I definitely don’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. Spelled this way, it would also lend itself to some great nicknames— Jen/Jenny, Nessa/Ness— which makes me like it all the more. 
[name_f]Jenessa[/name_f] is pretty sweet! I love the nn [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] and [name_f]Jen[/name_f]
