Jersey or Honey?

Would you rather be named [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] or [name_f]Honey[/name_f]? And why? if you have a reason

Let me preface by saying I actually love both of these names even though they are very different styles. But I live very close to [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] and in Pennsylvania (where I live) there’s a bit of a rivalry with NJ, so in my specific situation I would definitely want to be named [name_f]Honey[/name_f]. However, if I lived somewhere else, far away from the east coast, I think I would pick [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] instead.

100% [name_u]Jersey[/name_u]. Probably going to be an unpopular opinion but [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is on the short list of things I absolutely don’t want a male boss to call me.

Definitely Jersey! My first thought is sport jerseys but even then Honey is definitely not for me. Plus it’s stretchy but I could be nn’d Circe

Tricky one. The term of endearment thing with [name_f]Honey[/name_f] could be a little weird, but I’m guessing you’d get used to it quickly if it was your name, so I’m going to say [name_f]Honey[/name_f].

As a [name_u]Brit[/name_u], [name_f]Honey[/name_f] feels quirky but more established as a name. To me, [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] is an island, a sweater, or a cow, in that order.

I like how [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] sounds like more of a name since it’s similar to [name_u]Julie[/name_u]. But ultimately i like [name_f]Honey[/name_f] a bit better.

[name_f]Honey[/name_f] is super cute! I follow a mom on insta who just named her babygirl [name_u]Jersey[/name_u]. I think I’d prefer to be [name_f]Honey[/name_f] bc [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] is really tied to the cow lol

[name_u]Jersey[/name_u], bc like a pp had pointed out; I wouldn’t want coworkers and bosses to call me [name_f]Honey[/name_f]. And plus I’m non-binary, and [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] reads more unisex

I’d prefer [name_f]Honey[/name_f]. The [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] association is just way too strong for me.

I like [name_u]Jersey[/name_u]! I don’t live near NJ, which might help, but I think it’s cool and laidback in its sound.

[name_u]Jersey[/name_u], for sure. [name_f]Honey[/name_f] just sounds like a term of endearment to me, one that would give lots of people the idea that they can be more friendly with me than I’d like.
