Jessamine?

A new love of mine - though I can only see myself using it in the middle. What are your thoughts on it?

It has a pretty sound, and could work as a first name…But overall I don’t particularly like it to be honest (it feels frilly).

I adore this name!

I have this on my “really wished I loved it” list. It just feels like someone couldn’t decide between [name]Jessica[/name] and [name]Jasmine[/name] and smushed them together. I know it’s a legitimate name with history and the like, but it feels trendy and contrived.

It’s a pretty sound though. Again, I really want to love it but I can’t.

I think it’s lovely. It’s sweet, different yet familiar and very feminine but not in a cutesy way. [name]Tullia[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name] was on my list ages back, I forgot how much I loved those together.

It is nice! I personally don’t love it though. It sounds like “[name]Jess[/name] is mean” to me. I also prefer [name]Jessica[/name], [name]Jessie[/name] and [name]Jasmine[/name].

Oooh, [name]Tullia[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name] is adorable! I agree with [name]Flick[/name]'s sentiment about the name as well. [name]Jessamine[/name] is also a way to get the sweetiepie nn [name]Mini[/name].

I love it! A few years back I was coming up with character names and I came up with [name]Jessamine[/name] [name]Willow[/name]. I think it’s really pretty and I’m not usually one for J girl names.

[name]Jessamine[/name] is on my list cuz I love the nn [name]Jess[/name]. I am big fan of [name]Zooey[/name] Deschanel and [name]New[/name] Girl!
However, [name]Jessica[/name] is just too out dated.
My great-grandmother is [name]Jessie[/name], just [name]Jessie[/name], but I don’t like it. It’s too boyish, but I am okay with [name]Jess[/name]. My brother used it as a mn for his daughter, [name]Allison[/name], so I couldn’t use just [name]Jessie[/name], even if I liked it.
I think [name]Jessamine[/name] is great! It’s very feminine, but can have a tomboyish nn - [name]Jess[/name]. It can also be spelled [name]Jessamyn[/name], which I like, cuz nobody will say [name]Jessa[/name]-mean. I like Y’s in names when they don’t look too trendy.

I like it, and have it listed as a possible middle name for a few of my first name possibilities.

I go back and forth on how much I actually like the [name]Jessamine[/name], the look is more appealing than the sound for me. That being said I do love the nn possibility of [name]Jessa[/name] and [name]Minnie[/name] so that make me like it a bit more.

[name]Love[/name] the nn [name]Jessa[/name]!

I really like it… until about the age of 30. I have a hard time imagining a, say, 36-year-old [name]Jessamine[/name].

So it’s very pretty… but I can only seem to see it on a younger woman.

I really like the name [name]Jessamine[/name], though I couldn’t see myself using it. I would love to meet a little girl named [name]Jessamine[/name]. I think its a more subtle way to use a flower name than [name]Jasmine[/name] or [name]Lily[/name], both of which I hear all the time now.

Thanks for all of the feedback! I’m not 100% whether I like it or not, I’m usually not one for J names for girls. Though I love the vintage flair of [name]Jessamine[/name] and I much prefer it to [name]Jessica[/name].

I like the name, but much prefer the variant [name]Jessamyn[/name].

I like how it looks, but I personally never know how it’s supposed to be said! (mine, min, mean?)

I like [name]Jessa[/name]… [name]Jessamine[/name] seems like over kill

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name]. I would use it in a heartbeat if I didn’t already have a [name]Jessica[/name]. In fact, if I could go back 15 years, I would have named her [name]Jessamine[/name] instead. I think it’s beautiful!

I like [name]Jessamine[/name], and I think it’s especially sweet in the middle spot.
