and named her [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Drew[/name]
I am not anti-boy’s names for girls…but this one is ALL boy imo. I’m really surprised! Also, I think [name]Maxine[/name] is cute and should make a comeback. Nickname [name]Max[/name] is adorable. I would’ve done [name]Maxine[/name] [name]Rue[/name].
I don’t love the name [name]Maxine[/name], but it would have been a lot better than [name]Maxwell[/name]. I like some unisex names, but [name]Maxwell[/name] is just all boy to me. And her middle name is unisex too. I would really hate being a girl named [name]Maxwell[/name].
I definetly don’t love maxwell. [name]Maxine[/name] would have been a way better choice. [name]Maxwell[/name] just doesn’t have a bit of femininity to it. [name]Maxine[/name] [name]Drew[/name] or [name]Maxine[/name] [name]Rue[/name] would have been better choices, in my opinion. But nonetheless, congrats to her!
I agree Taz, this name is definitely all boy! Which is surprising to me. [name]Max[/name] is a cute nickname. I love the surname names but this just doesnt work [name]IMO[/name] for a little girl.
She wants to give her the nn [name]Maxi[/name]. She chose [name]Maxwell[/name] bc it is her fiance’s middle name and [name]Drew[/name] is her mom’s maiden name. It is pretty masculine, but I guess it meant enough to her to keep the name.
Only other female [name]Max[/name]-name I can think of is [name]Princess[/name] [name]Maxima[/name] (The Netherlands), who comes from [name]Argentina[/name].
[name]Max[/name] is a cute nn, [name]Maxi[/name] is NOT. When I first read the article I thought “oh, she must have been told the wrong sex and had a boy after all…” Then I re-read the headline that said she had a girl. lol I would have expected her to go frilly with the name.
I am sure for a celebrity baby [name]Maxwell[/name] on a girl can work! I am not a personal fan of it though! All I can think of is [name]Maxi[/name]-Pad, when I hear [name]Maxi[/name] for the nickname! Not a great association for me!
I like it way better than [name]Blue[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Blue[/name] would have been sooooo much better.
I actually don’t hate the name [name]Maxwell[/name] for a girl, I would never use it, but I can see it being kinda cute… I HATE the nn [name]Maxi[/name] though. All I can think is maxi pad.
Argh, why would she want her daughter to be [name]Maxi[/name], let alone [name]Maxwell[/name]?! So, the only choices the poor dear has are a blatantly masculine name or something that makes everyone think of “maxi pad”. So sad.
I don’t understand the fascination with naming girls boys names at all. Yet if someone were to name a boy [name]Jasmine[/name] it’d be a huge issue.
At any rate, [name]Jessica[/name]'s [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Drew[/name] is beyond silly imo, and probably mostly for attention.
