What do you think of [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]? I’m usually super assured with my boy’s choices so I don’t often ask about my boy’s lists. Buuuuut I’m really on the line with this?
Basically what’s your lowdown?
I love this name! I think the nn [name_u]Jet[/name_u] would be cool. It does make me think of [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] [name_m]Tull[/name_m], for better or worse.
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]
[name_u]Jet[/name_u] is actually the part I’m not sold on… it could grow on me I guess.
Eh, there could be worse associations 
The only strong one I have is with the male model [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] Cave ([name_u]Nick[/name_u] Cave’s son) who is so beautiful.
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] has a “hick” association with me. This is due to the [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] Hillbillies. Its so connected with this. If you see someone acting like a “hillbilly” but you don’t know their name, you use the name [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] to refer to them.
It will forever have that association for me, and many older Americans, as this was a fairly iconic show.
This is an older show, so maybe the name can shake this image off?
I really like it. I think it’s cute, handsome, and strong. I also think of [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] Gibbs from NCIS, a good character association for me. He lends a cool factor to the name that subverts the hillbilly hayseed one-dimensional portrait. I think it’s ripe for reclaiming.
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] is a great, underused biblical name that I think needs more time in the spotlight. I say go for it!
I also think of [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] Gibbs! [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] feels very distinguished. I really like it.
I think [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] is super cool. It is different and sleek. Totally fits with the new/hip choices now. I like the nn [name_u]Jet[/name_u] too.
I like [name_m]Jethro[/name_m], even though I am usually not a huge fan of -o endings. I think it’s a fun and distinctive choice. I also like the somewhat similar [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m].
I adore [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]. I don’t think I would have liked it before if it wasn’t for NCIS. The character [name_m]Mark[/name_m] [name_m]Harmon[/name_m] plays is a really good association and he really works the name well.
I like that [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] is an uncommon, underused biblical name. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know if that’s relevant or means anything to you, but a lot of people don’t realise that because of the association with shows like [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] Hillbillies. However, I like the name. It’s underused, but not unheard of, so people will recognise it as an actual name. I like the nn [name_u]Jet[/name_u] too. I say go for it!
