I don’t mind [name]Jet[/name]/[name]Jett[/name] as a nn for [name]Jethro[/name] but I don’t think it has much substance as a full name. No one ever heard of the name until actor [name]John[/name] Travolta called his late son this name in 1992. Word names are pretty trendy at the moment but I don’t think many of them age well. Have you considered using it as a middle name?
I like it but I think it’s a great nn for [name]Juliet[/name]. Also, a girl from HS just named her daughter [name]Jetta[/name]. I don’t personally like [name]Jetta[/name] but it makes [name]Jet[/name] sound even more girly to me.
Dislike…too yuppy and trendy. Like [name]Jon[/name] Travolta’s son…too sad!
Missed the poll, but I strongly dislike it. Trendy and insubstantial.
Missed the poll as well, I like [name]Jett[/name]/[name]Jet[/name] as a nickname for [name]Jethro[/name], or as a PP suggested, it could work as a spunky nn for [name]Juliet[/name], even though I’m not fond of that name I can see it working. It just feels too insubstantial as a given name, though it would make a great nickname. [name]Even[/name] something like [name]John[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] could nn [name]Jett[/name].
